Nothing weird about it. Hes hungry to start, you want that in your backup QB otherwise whats the point? Anyone can hold a clip board, you want players who WANT to play.

Flores lost the offense last year with his idiotic QB decisions (heck, more than the offense. See: Van Noy, Kyle) And when you lost part of the team the year before, it only takes one bad moment for things to get bad.

People think its a moral victory to get to the brink of the playoffs and then fizzle dramatically. Getting beaten in dramatic fashion when you actually had a chance to turn your season into success fills your regime with the stench of failure.
