Hi - apologies firstly for not taking a more active part in the forum up to now - pressures of home life and all that. I do check in to see what's been posted, but I haven't posted up to now because I don't want to start a thread that I may not have time to come back to.

Ok - We've booked our trip to Miami, primarilly to see the Chiefs game :-), but aren't sure who's best to buy tickets from. A friend of mine got some very competitively priced tickes from ticketsnow (albeit for a Yankees game - yeah - I know), are they my best bet? What do you recommend?

Also I'd really like to meet up with some of you folks for tailgating prior to the game. Let me know and we'll come and say hello.

By the way, and just to let you know, I'm no fair weather Dophins fan. I've supported the Dolphins since football was first shown on British TV back in 1982 and have been totally devoted since then: Staying up until 4am listening to games on the Armed Forces Network, and going to school like a zombie as a result etc etc. I remember getting home from school on the Tuesday after the Dolphins v Bears game in 85, and I rang Miami to get the score. It was like finding money, what a rush.

Totally hyped about finally coming to Miami. More of a pilgramige than a holiday. Really can't wait.

Cheers guys - give me your thoughts.

Welcome. We have quite a few Brits on FH who are Dolphin fans.I heard it is the most popular Amercan football team in the UK and I suppose that is because Marino played there in an exhibition game.I cant help you with the ticket info but I am sure someone else will .:welcome:

Somebody pls help Nick with the info he is looking for.

Hi. By far the best place to get tickets will be Ticketmaster. You'll get them at face value. I got my ticket to the season opener on the 50 yard line (upper) for $81. ($76 for the ticket and the rest is admin charge)

The best thing though is that you can pay by credit card and get the ticket emailed to you. NOTE: it says on the ticketmaster website that only US members can get their tickets by email but i ordered on my card and the email came through no problems.

Other than that you can just pick the tickets up at the box ofice on the day.

Your post brought back memories of watching Channel 4 for the NFL.....ah the memories

Thats my advice anyway. Enjoy the game, i'm sure i will :)

Thanks for the help guys. I'll give Ticketnaster a look.

The one other thing is the question of actually getting to the game. Our hotel is on South Beach and neither of use drive. What would be our best bet? Taxi, bus or train I suppose. What would you recommend?

Oh yeah! I watched good ole' channel 4 from 89'-92' when I was stationed there. Ole' Mick Luckhurst was the host then(British/former NFL kicker)

Ive got two tickets in section 445, row 26, seats 23-24 for the Chiefs game on the 23rd. If anyone is interested in going, email me at apa64che@verizon.net

The details will suprise you.

Hey If You Bring A Few Of Those Wild British Women With Ya That Would Be Nice !!!!

Yea, im advertising them, but the only problem is they're Ticketmaster "ticketFast" tickets. Which means Ticketmaster e-mailed them to me. The problem with that is that its sorta a first come first serve ticket. No one is going to want to pay me for tickets, and run the risk that im some scammer trying to get money from people, then be the first one through the gate. What im basically gonna have to do is "give" them to someone via email, and hope they're good decent people and will give me something for them.

hey nick!..just saw a great deal on e-bay..2 ticks lower level section 107 i think..and parking pass...$122.00....4 days left in auction...

one recomendation, go for paying a little more for lower tier seats since its your first time. i did and it was well worth it. you'll have a blast.

alright Nick! welcome to Miami, I would suggest you try ticketmaster and just do a will call pick up for the tickets. Just make sure you bring the credit card you use to purchase the tickets. I'm going to the chiefs game, see ya there!

None of the trains here in Miami go to the stadium, they are mostly for cargo transportation. I would go on a bus if I were you. as statred before Ticketmaster is your best bet.

What airport are you going to MIA or Ft Lauderdale?

Oh yeah welcome to Miami.
