Before i get bashed for saying this, let me first say that i understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinion...that being said, why are most of you so high on Brock Berlin? I saw some games of him when he played for UF as well as UM and he didnt strike me as a good QB or a guy that will ever be a good QB in the NFL. Wasnt he benched a couple of games at UM? He lacks arm strength and good decision making, both key factors. I've read that some of you wouldnt mind him being the number 3 QB but I just dont see it happening. More than likely, Miami will sign a vet as well as draft a QB...So he'd be behind Culpepper, Vet, Rookie and Lemon. He and Lemon might be the odd men out.

i think everyone was just looking for the answer at QB... we havent had a star since marino... i agree with what you say...he wont make it out of NFLE

I honestly don't see him making it very far in training camp. He may not even see the field during preseason. Saban and Mueller are going to add another veteran QB, no doubt, and they still may even draft a QB(round 4 possibly) to compete. With those two things happening, Berlin would be #5 on the depth chart and even if just one of those happens, he is still stuck at #4. Don't get your hopes up too much, he is really just going to be a TC body.

Exactly. Saban told him that the Phins would resign him in the Spring and allocate him to NFLE. I think this is just Saban following through on that promise. Berlin really has no shot whatsoever to make the roster. He won't replace Cleo Lemon by any means. He's got a sixth invested in him.

I don't see him making it either. The only time he did good at the UM was when they started playing him in shotgun. Thats high school crap and won't cut it in the NFL.

1) Because of the improvment he made his senior year and some of his preseason performance.
2) He wasn't benched.
3) He has arm strength, but has poor decision making.

he has an arm and u never know 3rd qb who comes at the league min. well why not but he wont ever become anything but for a qb who never plays and fills a roster spot at a min.

Brock Berlin is nothing more then camp fodder. CANNON FODDER is more like it!!! :monkeyr: Brock Berlin

Why are folks high on Brock Berlin?

Its March and he is the only Dolphin QB actually playing.

From what I saw this weekend, he's not even "making it" in NFLE.

Brock was the number HS player peroid. When Saban left MSU and took the LSU job, Brock was high on his list of potential recruits. Saban must see something in Brock that he thinks can be developed in a quality NFL player.

An 83.6 passer rating despuite the fact his receivers were dropping balls. Yeah, that's definitely not making it.

Brock was the top guy coming out of high school....was supposed to be the next great Florida QB. He did show signs of being a good QB his senior year....I put more of the blame on the coaching staff for not building the offense around him. He obviously wasnt comfortable when not in the shotgun.

With the draft picks and young pickups Saban seems to be consistantly bringing in guys he coached or recruited at Mich State and LSU. Brock isnt going to be the starting QB, but he has the skills to at least be practice squad material. I dont think you can carry both him and Lemon on the active roster, a vet is needed if Pepper is injured.

I checked the NFLE website and Brock is sixth of six QB's in rating among those with enough attempts to earn a rating. It will be tough to judge him however because it looks like he is on a stinker of a team!.
