Broncos = Overrated Garbage

Brady has been more Manning like later in his career w/ great reg seasons and struggles in postseason but he was a Welker drop from winning his 4th SB.

And 3 FG misses from ever winning one. Anyone can play the what if game. Bottom line is that he isn't getting it done when it really counts.

2 FGs and each one he set the kicker up w/ no time to win the game.

Still the what if game. They didn't win a 4th and they haven't won in almost a decade.

they last won w/in 2 years of peyton's only SB. a year they had to go through the mighty Chiefs, a Ravens terrible O, a pats team w/ Gaffney and Caldwell as their top 2 offensive weapons and then a Rex grossman led team in the SB. Things broke PERFECTLY for Peyton that postseason for his lone SB win despite playing w/ SB caliber talent basically since day 1.

Super Bowl talent since day 1, really.

The colts were 36-60 in the 5 years prior to manning arriving.

Manning sucks just as much as Brady

The Colts were in the AFC Championship Game 3 years before he arrived and a playoff team 2 years before he arrived. he arrived to a team w/ Marshall Faulk and Marvin Harrison in/entering their primes. They turned Faulk in toe Edgerrin james a year later, he's always been surrounded by elite talent- something we cannot say for Brady.

Brady always has the 10-0 start to his playoff career, peyton has no great period to look back to.

2 playoff trips in 5 years isn't Super Bowl talent.

I done arguing with you junc. Just came in here to clarify to Op that Tom terrific amd the patriots have their flaws too.

Although I see no response from OP, just you.

You guys are probably one in the same.

I did say SB talent "basically since day 1", meaning not literally since day 1 but not far after. Either way he's had more talent, weaker division, played more than half his games in domes and his supposed weaker D's have allowed less pts in postseason yet Brady has been much more successful.

i think bronco fans are in for a rude awakening IMO.how they duplicate last season is in serious question.

Fins1971:

No, completely wrong.
A. The Jets have not been a ****ty team until recently. Even when they've gone into their slump, they still had one of the best defenses in the league, which is what Brady had to play against. Sure, the Dolphins and the Bills haven't been great, but let's not pretend the Patriots haven't been handling a top tier defense in the Jets this whole time.

B. The difference is, Tom Brady continued to win in the post season where he faces real football teams. Manning put up great numbers only up until the post season where he then got squashed.
As has already been pointed out, everything broke perfectly for Peyton his Superbowl year and he still played like crap through out those play offs, with 7 interceptions and only 2 touchdowns. He got carried.

C. Are your AFC South win/loss stats from the last ten years or going back in time from Peyton's last season with the Colts? Because if you took the last ten years starting from last season, your numbers are skewed because the Texans finally started to emerge as a contender and Manning wasn't even there.

D. Peyton did what he did in a dome. Brady has done what he's done in the freezing rain, winter winds, snow storms, -10 degree blizzards of Gillette stadium.

Tom Brady almost averages one trip to the Superbowl every two seasons. Just remarkable.

Dare I say it? Manning also never had the benefit of a spy on his team.

Dead lord, Manning had one of the greatest playoff comebacks ever against the Pats the year he won his Super Bowl. Dudes a legend. Give it a rest. If he played for Belichick, you'd have six rings at least.

One half of great playoff football doesn't make up for 10+ years or mediocre/poor playoff football.

How many rings does Belichick have w/o Brady? How many playoff apps? Tony Dungy made a conf title game w/o manning, Belichick won ONE career playoff game w/o Brady.

Actually, it kinda does. Because it proves that he could at least win a Super Bowl. If the guy had made the Super Bowl and never won it, like McNabb, then no it doesn't.

Even though most will argue McNabb belongs in the Hall of Fame. But probably won't get in his first time. Where as Manning will probably get in first time. And it's because of those stats and a Super Bowl win.
