Browns owner Randy Lerner says that Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is on his list of head-coaching candidates.
Lerner also mentioned Dolphins VP of Football Operations Bill Parcells as a candidate, although in what capacity is uncertain. The Browns need a GM too. In addition to McDaniels, Lerner is expected to pursue Giants DC Steve Spagnuolo and Titans DC Jim Schwartz to succeed fired Romeo Crennel.

Incredible I cannot believe that this happening when our team is doing so good. Hope he stays, but if he leaves I have faith in Sparano and Ireland.
 
Yeah, I'm sure he wants to leave a place that he loves being at where he hardly has to do any work, to goto a dump like that with a bunch of superstar wannabe players there
 
I think we're in great hands with Ireland and coach Sparano. My only thing is i don't want to have to compete for players with Parcells if he in fact does latch on with another team.
 
All I know is the Tuna home is down here and that he owns a place in the Keys. I dont see why the hell wont he stay here, but Crazier things have happen. I still think Sparano annd Ireland can do their job fine here.
 
parcells came in here to put in the right personnel in the front office... his job here is done

i'd rather have him as our VP next year but if he ain't, then so be it, ireland and sparano can handle this, they've shown they can
 
Why would he trade Miami in for Cleveland?

I'm still glad with what we have if he actually does decide to leave though. I've also heard that the Browns are interested in Marty. Not sure if he'd go back there though.
 
This BP stuff just won't go away... I guess this is credit to the team playing so well since there is not much to criticize... yet the 'BP walks' clock begins ticking the second the guy accepts a job... His history makes that a cold reality... There are two certainties when he accepts a job...

1) He will get the job done.
2) He will leave before the job is done.

I would guess that even though the turnaround thus far has been miraculous... I think that he is loving his post with us and this is too earlyto leave even for him.

I think if Parcells has something to say about what he's going to do, he'll say it .. but until he does I think we should just ignore the media.. they blow EVERYTHING out of proportion .. EVERYTHING
 
As long as Ireland stays on as GM I'll be happy.
 
The Browns just fired Romeo Crennel, whom Bill Parcells has a great deal of respect for - enough that he was allegedly his first choice for head coach in Miami.

I think Bill Parcells would have to be really disgusted with Ross as well as getting an offer he couldn't refuse from another team that doesn't have a meddling owner (that means the Raiders are automatically out of the question). I think Bill Parcells is just playing hardball to have his clause extended another year.
 
I can hardly see Parcells jumping ship after 1 season. If this was his 3rd season maybe.

Also like already mentioned many times before... He lives 5-10 min away from Davie. He works when he feels like it. Does no interviews, watches his horses, enjoyed the grapefruit league in Baseball.. for a 67 year old guy, he's got his dream job, and no stress... Why go to miserable Cleveland.. If you have ever been to Cleveland??? maybe only Buffalo is worse. Just an awful town.. in a awful winter weather belt.
 
Whats Bill gonna do go somewhere else and take everyone he knows there? I think this is getting a little out of control, maybe Bill likes being in Miami.
