Is anyone else sick and tired of the amazing Bruschi comeback story? I am so sick of it I can hardly believe it. I have Sirius radio and it's all they have wanted to talk about for the past 2 weeks. Then on the telecast last night I would say 70% of the dialog was dedicated to it. His wife got more air-time than Brady.

I realize he was the heart-and-soul of their defense for a stretch, and I also realize how much he has gone through and how impressive his comeback is... but I also don't give a crap. I can't imagine that anyone who is not a Pat's fan would care to hear and re-hear and re-hear and re-hear and re-hear this story. I found myself rooting against NE for the sole purpose of watching this whole tired story come to a crashing end.

here-here...Bruschi and the Pats must go down, and must go down hard. :)

I stated in another thread last night that I was sick at ESPN's glorification of his stupid - really stupid - decision to come back from a STROKE AND HOLE IN HIS HEART to play football. They acted like Jesus Christ was suiting up for the Pats.

Anything for ratings I guess.

I totally Agree

Currently im in Boston and let me tell u that MoFO is on every major Newspaper here !

Dont get me wrong he is a good LB but jesus man its not the like guy is Ray Lewis !
Everyone is talkin like he was the MVP of the game yeturday.
Did i miss the INT return for a Game Winning TD ??????

I just hope ROnnie PLOWS through him !

Plus what kinda school boy B*tch wears the elbow pads ! Zach Thomas bleeds every game from his elblows now there is a bad As* !

Suzy Kolber was gushing like a school girl over Tedy last night....then the game ended and she ran up to him to get an interview and he just ran off the field. You would think Tedy is the only athlete to ever come back from an injury,,,,it was overkill times two. Hope Peyton Manning puts up 5 TD's on them next week.

actually, i'm kinda tired of hearing people complain about it...

show some heart... the guy had a stroke and i don't believe this has ever been done before...

i'm quite sure the rest of the league felt the same way in 1994 with the ad nauseum stories about Dan returning from the Achillies' ...

I heard the name Bruschi at least 250 times last night on ESPN......

While it's a nice story, it does bug me. It's just going to make it even more interesting who will become the scape goat when New England folds out of the playoffs early this year.

Don't get me started. I was argueing with my friend who is a Pats fan last night on how Thomas career wise is better then Bruschi. Of course he came back with "rings" and I then had to tell him you can't compare a team effort to personal effort. It never works though.

during the game, every play he was on the field, they showed him.
every commercial break, had him putting his arms up, and playing the "hero" song.

they even talked about him when the pats offense was on the field.

the only good thing it did, was take all the attention away from brady. they didnt show a slow-motion replay of brady's feet, like they did the last time the bills played them.

to be honest i just didnt want bruschi to get an INT, or a sack, or a forced fumble.

if that had happened, ESPN would have had to go out and buy MORE knee pads so all the other announcers can line up for the money shot. :yell:

i can already see the NFL films movie about bruschi, and having them act like he won the game single handed. (to bad McGahee got 130+ yards rushing.)

It was pretty ridiculous how they made Bruschi seem god-like last night. Yeah, he's a tough guy coming back from a stroke and all that jazz but was it necessary to talk about him all night long?

Yes he had a stroke, But doctors have confirmed that he suffered no ill effects from the stroke. ESPN made it out like he was in a coma for six years and given no chance to ever recover.

The biggest thing you can say is that he got a hell of a scare and has some guts to play with the plug in his heart.

one play says it all. we ran the ball, McGahee got 3-4 yards and was gang tackled.
the announcer says "now look at this. this is all T. bruschi right here, this is what he brings to the defense."

then they show the replay.

McGahee is hit by 3 other guys, his forward progress is stopped, and he goes down. Bruschi THEN hits the pile (the 4th tackler after McGahee is already down). and then celebrates with his teammates.

I say enough of the NY Giants-Wellington Mara hype too. I waited for an hour to see 2.5 seconds of Miami Dolphins highlights. Meanwhile every F-in Giants play was replayed. During the Bills game, they showed some of the same highlights 3 or 4 times.

It was sad when they were showing KC highlights and the announcer said something to the effect of "oh yeah, Trent Green's father died suddenly this week and Trent still played". That's it? Green's father was 58. Mara was like 187. Somehow the Giants had to overcome this big emotional loss and Trent gets a footnote.... just sad....

Nothing against Brett Favre and his loss, but didn't they do a two hour TV movie when Brett Favre's father died? sometimes I hate the NFL and ESPN....

ESPN has its darlings and if you don't fit in, well .....

I saw that play and thought the same thing.
