the miami dolphins you better listen up good...that's you cam cameron randy mueller etc...you better make drafting brady quinn the number 1 target even if it means moving up to 5 or 6 to get him..this is the year the miami dolphins and there fans deserve a top notch qb that will not only excell at the next level but will be a great leader and the one who leads us to the promise land many times...im sick of all the bad qb play since dan left it has to STOP and STOP now!!!!!!! the dolphins have a superbowl defense yes they have to upgrade the secondary and get a linebacker or two..we all know this..yes the offense is'nt superbowl ready we need to get our oline in top shape asap and a bigtime playmaking wr like a daunte stallworth..in free agency...plus with the return of ricky williams and may i say WELCOME BACK RICKY I LOVE YOU MAN!AND A STAR IN THE MAKING IN RONNIE BROWN...QB QB QB is what this team needs to address in round 1 of the 2007 draft....now this is not a knock against daunte culpepper who i believe in very strongly he is working hard as we speak and im very proud of him it's tough to come back from an injury like he suffered but know this he will be our starting qb in 2007...but this does not mean we pass on quinn who will and should be our replacement for dan marino years wise and lead this franchise anywhere from 10-15 years....SO CAMERON MUELLER I SAY MAKE QUINN A FIN!

We've received your message, and regret to inform you that we will not, as you requested, over-expend our draft resources for a single player. We feel it is in our best interests as a team to expand in multiple areas with quality players of good character and a determination to win with our franchise.

Thanks,

The Dolphins

It is Quinn or bust! Dolphin fans have cried and whined and pouted ever since Dan Marino left to get us a franchise QB. I am a 100% Daunte Culpepper supporter but if he can't go anymore, and even if he can he is going to be over 30 years old, this team is going to be back to square one. Then when we have backup QB's in the games next year going 15-38 1td and 3 int's is when every single person in the Dolphin community will be in an uproar again about finding us a QB.

Quit bitching and moaning if we have to give up an extra pick if we want to move up in the draft. Atleast it is being pro active for a change. Something this team has not been in nearly a decade. I know we need a LT but if Levi Brown at #9 is the best we can do where he may be a hit or miss just like Quinn, no thanks. A good QB can alleviate those problems. Especially if were able to sure up the center and guard positions. And those cost quite a bit less than offensive tackles do. I'd rather this team go balls to the wall and get what we want, other than sitting around for another 10 years waiting for a qb to fall in our laps.

Even if Cam Cameron drafts Quinn and he fails for our team and is a bust, well I'd still have to congradulate him for having the balls to do something our last 3 coaches didn't do.

well thank you spartiate at least you have a brain!

So you're insinuating that if we don't think that Quinn is worth giving up more than our #9 for, than we don't have brains.

Me no understand. What me lacking? :rolleyes2

yes indeed bottom line dolphins should do whatever it takes to get brady quinn end of story!

Well if it's Quinn or bust, I have no problem with bust.

i'm with you on that one .. lets face it .. if he turns out to be a bust himself .. you cause friction between QBs that are there now .. and then turn around and have to spend first round money on another guy next year .. i like our chances of getting a lesser talked about QB in the 2nd than throw away a draft on one player

First off i have to admit during his college days I was never too high on Brady Quinn, but the more i read about him and watch of him, i have started to buy in and think if he is there at #9 we should pick him and I believe he will be very successful...but i never believe in trading up for an unproven player no matter how appealing a guy may have looked during his college career or at the combine because you never know how they will perform at the next level, you have to remember for every Peyton Manning or John Elway, there are 5 or 6 Tony Mandrich or Rashan Salam.

Next our cap situation doesnt help your arguement for moving up (remember the higher we move up the more money it will cost to sign him). Saban was saying how he has improved our cap situation, which may be somewhat true, but we still are in the lower half of the NFL in terms of how much money we can spend this offseason.

Finally, and most importantly we have way too many holes to fill...trading up would most likely cost us our (first next year) second and possibly third this year. I like the depth of this draft and believe we will beable to land an impact player with our second round pick (which wouldnt happen if we traded up for Brady Quinn and important to note the higher we would move up the higher the price tag to sign our draft choice) especially with so many draftees dramatically improving their draft status at the combine the past couple days.

P.S. Buddy you fall too hard for the individuals at high profile positions you have to remember its a team game. Also if football is your life like it is mine, you already know that it all starts up front on both sides of the ball. Now if you watched the Dolphins last season its pretty clear in order for us to be successfull our offensive line needs ALOT of improvement. If Brady Quinn would have been our QB last year (or any rookie QB for that matter) he would be lucky to be alive right now. And if for some reason he did survive, its a sure thing that he would have struggled and 90% of the people on this site would have already declared him a bust and would be looking for his replacement this offseason.

Moral of the story, this thread is another great example of football ignorance that is so popular on this website...IT ALL STARTS UP FRONT!!!
