IS he still a free agent? I believe so unless I totally missed his signing. WHy hasn't anyone signed him? Why haven't WE signed him? From what he has played he seems pretty consistent. And shouldn't cost too much because he was behind Fitz and Boldin, he was third string.

I think he's still thinking it over with the Bills but he might visit the Bears soon..I hope BP and Ireland do something about it!

local radio, no link...

rumor out of western ny is that he is still on 1 bills drive looking to finalize a deal with the jills.

Let the Jills overpay for Johnson. Hes a nice player, but Id rather see us build through the draft than spend a boat load on FA's. We're not gonna turn this thing around in a year anwyways.

he's visiting the Redskins today i thought...

Fitting the Bills?

Bryant Johnson | Cardinals | Interested: Bills
The Bills continue to negotiate with Johnson, according to John Clayton. Johnson is one of the top receivers still available in free agency.
After cutting Peerless Price, the Bills have been looking for a quality receiver to complement Lee Evans. Something should be decided in the next couple of days. The 26-year-old Johnson, a member of the Cardinals his entire career, caught 46 passes for 528 yards in 2007.

dude not arguing with you and thats great he is going to washington for a visit, but what cap space does washington have to spend? buffalo can counter anything offered i know buffalo had alot more before FA started

smart move on Johnson's part to make the bills overpay

I think he is the type of player that a team will end up paying more for him than he is worth.

Yeah, I think we really should have signed him. Surround the QB with talent. And stengthen the line. That makes any QB look good.

If we signed him, we'd be surrounding the QB with multiple #3 WRs, in Wilford, Johnson and Hagan.

Stick with what we have, and possibly add a guy in the draft. I like the idea of Bowman being selected somewhere in the round 4 area. He is going to fall and has all the talent. Plus, I like a bigger bodied WR with Ginn as our primary threat.

Wilford and Johnson absolutely PALE Hagan. Not sure Bowman is any better than Hagan, and I would MUCH rather use that pick on either a TE or MLB depending on what happens in the previous picks

Johnson could be a very solid #2 being the possesion type. He isnt huge, but is considered a "Bigger" WR, runs GREAT routes and very very rarely drops anything.

EDIT: I am much more concerned with GINN being a serious #1 than I am with either Johnson or Wilford being considered a #2...I mean, what exactly has Ginn done?
Johnson has had very complete seasons since coming into the league (Yes his rookie year was Soooooooo much better than Ginn's) and was stuck behind two studs.

Comparing Ginn to Johnson is comparing apples to oranges. We knew Ginn was raw as a WR coming out of Ohio State, but you could see definite improvement as the season went on. Moreover, the first 6 games, he got zero opportunities to make plays offensively. Thanks Cam.

I was just throwing Bowman out as a possibility, and probably only if we trade down and acquire some more picks. I'll agree we have numerous other priorities.

I must admit i don't know anything about Johnson, i nevered watched him play.. I see that you wrote that he runs great routes + rarely drops anything my question is how come he hasn't been signed yet? Is he always hurt? He sounds like a guy that can help the phins.. are we looking at him at all?
Thanks for any info
