Bryant McKinnie Overrated?

I was on a Vikings Forum place and they are saying that he is overrated i really dont know because i really havnt seen him play that much Does any one know if we are Overrating this guy and they are saying Miami Could probly get him for the 3rd round pick
 
I think he's good. Him and Steve Hutchinson combine for the best LT/LG tandem in the league. Peterson and Taylor or good RBs but they have some excellent blocking on that left side. McKinnie does come with some characther issues though. I think he was arrested for a bar fight, there was the whole "love boat" scandal, and he's also made negative remarks about his team. That doesn't sound like the type of player Parcell's wants to bring in.

yea there has been talk about Us bringing him in because he wants to come play for his home Town in Miami I personally would love to have the guy but that is just me
 
i don't really know enough about his off the field issues but i think he would be a solid addition
 
If it ain't broke . . . don't fix or change it . . . ask Seattle if they wish they had Steve Hutchinson back . . . they thought they could throw someone in there and the running game woudl still be great . . . nope.

He definitely isn't overrated . . . if anything he is underrated because he has NEVER went to a Pro Bowl, which is mind boggling. I know the NFC has Jones, Samuels and Pace . . . I guess w/ Minny being down for so long and had a revolving door at RB and weak QB play . . . he hasn't gotten the recognition . . . he should this year tho.
 
He is a solid LT and the Minnesota Left side should all be in the pro bowl every year.
 
jt for him straight up, im not asking for a pick but i think if they give anything more than a 5th we are robbing them, for a in the twightlihgt of his prime de ( a great prime it was at that) for a premiere up and coming lt, one of the most coveted postions in the nfl. ppl talk about his offield issues well we got billy p to straiten him out. it should be a done deal and we shpuld be a much inproved ball club next season
 
I met Bryant Mckinnie personally at a party when he was at Lackawanna Junior College in Scranton, PA. before he went to University of Miami. My friend Paul played Fullback on his team at LJC. Let me tell you something, the guy is big and he is an #%hole when he's drunk.

I know a lot of us probably are when your drinking a lot so I will give him the benefit of the doubt, but he was one aragant #%%. But he still is a good player on the field in my opinion. It's how much he likes to party off the field is what concerns me. If he's anything like he was back when he played for LJC off the field then I would not want him.
