I am curious as to what Finheaven members think as to a two loss Ohio State team taking a BCS bid over Boise State. I think I have heard all the homer arguements but I am interested in a non biased opinion from some finheaven members. I am obviously a Boise State fan and I don't think we are going to make the BCS but would like to think all is not lost. Assume Oregon beats Oregon State should a two loss Ohio State get the invite over Boise State. Anyone with a good arguement one way or the other?

No.

I think Boise should get in. Ohio Taint hasn't beaten anyone that great this year. MSU was alright. UW sucked. Michigan was god awful, etc. When they played someone worth half a squirt of piss, they lost. (See: USC and Penn State).

Boise had some better wins.

Boise should get in.

Boise should, but I dunno if they will, and it has little to do with Ohio State.

3 teams have already clinched BSC births; Penn State, Utah, and Cincy.

Unless Bama loses against Auburn and Florida (and Vice versa) both Florida and Bama will get bids.

2 teams from the Big 12 will get bids just don't know what the combo will be; Mizzou,OU, UT, and TT

USC will get in, and unless they lose this weekend, Oregon State is in as well.

So it will be interesting

Ohio State should not get in over Boise State. They have proven they are an inferior team when challenged by opponents of national recognition. USC dismantled them, and Penn State came in and beat them in the horse shoe. They were embarrassed by Florida and LSU the last two years. Enough with Ohio State.

You mean you aren't impressed by victories over powerhouses such as Youngstown State and Ohio?

Ohio St should get in. I'd say if Boise St got in then Ball St should get in also. In all fairness if we wanted the best teams in. Texas Tech who probably will be left out deserves in over both those teams.

I think Tech will get in.

remember only 2 teams per conference can get in. So if Mizzou wins the BIg 12, one of TT, UT, and OU won't get in.

The Big XII title picture is so messed up, it isn't even funny.

it could get very clear though. If TT loses to Baylor; Texans wins because they won the head-to-head meeting with OU. If OU loses and TT wins, TT goes to the Big 12 Championship game, which if that happens, Texas and OU will be rooting that Mizzou does not win.

Oh and let's not forget that either VTech or as of now BC (or FSU) will get a BSC birth meaning one will be left for Boise or O$U (unless the Beavers lose)

Texas Tech just won, so if OSU wins, then they go to the Big XII title game.

So what happens to Texas then? Are they still at 2 in teh BCS after the weekend?

If Boise goes to the Humanitarian, looks like they'll end up playing Miami. Ouch for Miami.

Mizzou could really mess up things if they win the Big 12 Championship game. If 'Bama beats UF they get the nod in the Nat'l Championship. Now if UF wins then I think that Oklahoma and Texas should play in Nat'l Championship assuming they win out.

what happens is Texas stays at 2 for this week, but will have to wait and see what happens during the Big 12 Championship. It The Cowboys win, UT can kiss their national title shot good bye because the BCS won't take another team that didn't win their conference title game like they did with OU a couple years ago (which led to a split champ), but Texas will be going to a BCS bowl.

USC is an interesting case though because they are garunteed a share of the title no matter what, but OSU has the tie breaker so they go to the Rose Bowl, but since USC is also technically PAC-10 CHamps they could end up in the title game leading to a Florida vs. USC match IMO (which would be interesting)

In short, this year is more of a mess than any other year.

I'd like to see USC play UT in the Fiesta
