Very surprising. I can understand the Chiefs sacking Gailey because they had Haley there already, but to fire Jagodzinski before he even got the chance to co-ordinate a meaningful game is very odd, especially at this late stage where they will probably continue using the same playbook.

i think he didn't agree with leftwich being the starter - and was very vocal about it to the new coach. i think they're better off with freeman myself. leftwich sucks and he'll be hurt in the first few weeks anyway. that's what happens when it takes you ten minutes to throw the ball.
Freeman is not ready. They'd be better off handing the reigns to McCown this year and at least seeing what the guy whose been hanging around the roster's got. Everyone knows that Leftwich is entirely average and he isn't going to elevate a team in disarray to the playoffs. McCown probably couldn't either but he's mobile, exciting, and hasn't proven to be average so far.
mccown's possibly worse than leftwich. the bucs aren't making the playoffs anyway and they have a good o-line - so he won't get shell shocked a la harrington, ramsey, etc.. might as well see what the rook can do. i think he's looked decent this preseason.
