The Milwaukee Bucks don't have much of a chance against the Detroit Pistons if Michael Redd is held to 11 points again.
The question now is: How can they free him up in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series?

"It's hard, as much as Rip was holding and grabbing," Milwaukee coach Terry Stotts said Tuesday.

Stotts was referring to Richard Hamilton, who defended Redd and scored 21 points before leaving Game 1 with a sprained ankle as the Pistons coasted to an easy victory.

Milwaukee's first-year coach insisted he was not trying to send a message to the officials before Game 2 on Wednesday.

"But I did think that Michael was being held and grabbed a lot," Stotts said. "I'm just stating what I saw.":boohoo:

Redd averaged 25.4 points during the regular season, ranking among the NBA's scoring leaders, and had 120 points in four games against Detroit.

he is whining, but the refs have been very inconsistent with the Pistons all year. One minute they'll be calling a close game, the Pistons will complain about a call that doesn't go their way, and the next minute everything the Pistons do goes.

I'm not backing Stotts up, but I've seen McDyss and Sheed hit C's in the face and not get a fould call, and I've seen Rip and Billups push the man they're gaurding and not get a foul called.

i don't know how rip gets away with it ii think its cuz they all seem to being doing the sheed thing where he thows a fit everytime they get a call

What is hilarious is this...on ESPN and TNT they are actually calling Rip Hamilton a "good" defender..

They guy can't guard anybody without clutching and grabbing..he is a very good help defender..but must resort to clutching and grabbing when guarding a good player..like Redd for instance.
