Buffalo & Detroit SB Expectations

I think it’s too early to say who will be in the Super Bowl - especially from the AFC…

Mahomes and KC have home field advantage. The Ravens have a historically good offense. The Bills are great this year but of those 3, probably the weakest in terms of coaching. It could be any of those three teams, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the Ravens (or Bills).

From the NFC, didn’t the Vikings already beat the Lions once before? And you never know with the Eagles if Hurts comes back and they are clicking. The pieces are there.

I think this thread is a little premature. I do think those are 2 of the top maybe 4 teams, but NFL playoffs are always so wild.

I appreciate your POV and agree this is probably premature. But since we are not in the playoffs and our division rival is. And Buffalo the team we need to beat in order to take the division in the future.
I just thought this is a scenario I forsee as a possibility

Hear me out this is not a Bills fan post. I think this year might be a year of destiny for these 2 teams to meet in the Superbowl. For Detroit- never been and for Buffalo -never won.

If these 2 teams meet in the Superbowl 1 will lose. Who do you think will lose, and how does that impact the Organization going forward?
not if bills play the chiefs and I want lions to go to superbowl but eagles are not a good match up for lions. I hope a team upsets eagles before lions are to play eagles if lions win divisional round and go to nfc championship round again. I feel the eagles are biggest threat to take lions out of playoffs.

I just can’t see Detroit
Goff is better than Hurts but the Eagles Dline and Oline are the best in the busienss and Lions are banged the **** up on D

And then……as much as I think the world of Campbell there will come a time where he should kick a FG but will go for it on 4th and 6 and will lose that decision

First there is zero chance the Bills lose to Denver.
The team that can beat Buffalo is Baltimore rather than KC. KC has been lucky all year and is just not playing good enough to get back to the SB. They will have trouble beating the Chargers in the 2nd round.

If Hurts is ok they should beat Detroit. Their defense can win on the road and with all of Detroit's injuries on defense the Eagles can rely on Barkley to control the game.

A Ravens- Eagles SB would be very interesting.

We will see soon. Barkley can control the game as you say, assuming Detroit doesn't go up 14. Then it's over to Hurts...

I think the Bills are the third worst team in the AFC, and until they prove otherwise from being the biggest choke franchise in NFL history I don’t see it changing.

I take the Lions in that matchup ... I don't think the Bills O can outlast the Lions D.

The Bills would need a superhuman effort from Josh Allen ... and he doesn't have a "Henry/Barkley" to rely on.

The Buffalo Bills won the division on Thanksgiving weekend (think about that). The team had a one year rebuild. This team is starting to remind me of the Tom Brady Bill Belichick Patriots and this is not good news for the division.
The Bills have a shot but I predict this team will win a few playoff games but no Superbowl this year.

The Bills look strong again and could make it to the SB sadly. They will beat Denver convincingly IMO. While ever they have Allen they are going to be good.

As for the question about it forcing us to do something, we watched the Cheatriots win 7 SB's and didn't do a damned thing so don't expect much now the Bills are the kings of the division.

Until Ross is no longer the owner it will be much of the same 8-9. 9-8 occasionally better but be one and done in the play offs. Bringing those two clowns back told us all we need to know about the owners ambition.

I don't think we'll get anywhere close to 8 wins next year.
