Don't get me wrong, all the talk of playoff scenarios are fun, but they all have a chance of happening only if we beat Buffalo. I am curious as to how Philbin is handling this. Is he being loose with the team since they're in winning state of mind? Is he being tougher to grind in how important this game is?
I wish I knew. Maybe Pat Riley has advice on beating the teams "Your'e supposed to beat."

What do you think is going on preparing for this game?

With Buffalo winning earlier this year in Miami I doubt it. The Fins are gonna be out for payback.

I also think the loss earlier to Tampa Bay is really gonna help in that they know that can't take any team lightly. They went into that game expecting to win and look how that turned out. I think this team is gonna be all business the next two weeks.

I think after we lost to the Bills with a practice squad QB under center, Philbin and the locker room won't be taking anything lightly.

Business as usual. No highs or low lows, just go to work and be prepared week to week.

And yes this is a trap game. Its a match up nightmare. And the one I feared the most out of the last 3 games.

Bingo.....the fact that Bills beat da Phinz clearly should help Miami.....all I want is a Phinz WIN period and I do not care how da Phinz do it.......just WIN :-)

At least they have good tape on us v them. This game wil be tight...we pull away at the end. 27-16.

very hard for a division game to be a trap game. no matter how bad a team is, in the division, they are usually good games. and buffalo isn't really a bad team.

Add in the unknown weather conditions to the mix. But yeah, we put up 34 in the Pittsburgh snow. I also agree that it would seem very unlikely that Buff sweeps us. I have to think these guys see their success for the playoffs squarely ON THEM. No scenarios to hope for. They win, they're in! Man, I want to believe that it's not business as usual like a week 5 game, but an amped up locker room ready to explode on Sunday.
Also hoping for some new plays to come in. Gotta do what it takes to win this one! I can't think about the jets yet, but they do not worry me. We (Wake O.V.) seem to have Geno's number.

These next two games won't be a walk in the park.....all the pressure in the world is on us. Bills and Jets have no shot at the playoffs, so they can do whatever is in their power to screw over their division rival. We easily have a better team than both of them, but the Bills have that home field advantage, and I have no idea what the Jets have, but they somehow managed to beat teams they weren't supposed to this year.

Philbin needs to get these guys fired up at the fact that if they win out then they are in. I would much rather go into the playoffs winning to close out the season than having to get lucky to get in (I would take it - don't get me wrong).
The truth is though of they can't beat the Jets or Bills then they really dont need to be in the playoffs. I guearantee the message is to win and hopefully zero to little attention on rooting for the Ravens to lose.

This team seems to know what is at stake....

I don't think this is a trap game. The Dolphins know they must win out here. It's a division opponent who embarrassed us at home last time we played them. It's a team that's tough to beat at home in the elements, too.

IMO, this does not qualify as a trap game.

That said, one thing that kinda works in our favor is that it's a December game at Orchard Park and the Bills did their yearly flounder around and stink up the joint routine. Should be half empty.

Hopefully Tannehill can continue his mojo.

He record and stats isn't very good against Buffalo but just like NE he can change that this week.

In 3 career games Tannehill is 1-2

46 for 90 for 465 yards 6 TD's and 4 Ints, QBR 69.9
He also had lost fumble

So he averages 2 TD's per game but also turns it over almost 2 per game. Got to correct that this week.

Buffalo has the #4 rated rushing offense and we have the #22 rated rushing defense. We better come prepared. Those numbers on the road and in bad weather are not favorable for us. We must start fast.
