For sake of argument Cincinatti has the 1st pick and we have the 4th pick. What does it take to get that pick. To me Mike Brown would take picks because he is cheap and does not use free agency.

I understand teams are interested in Burrow but this is not looked at as generational talent. We are talking moving up 2-3 slots.

It's to get to #1 for a QB that the #1 team wants.

Imagine the blowback in Cincinnati if they don't take the QB from Ohio with the #1 pick??? Especially after hiring a QB type coach.

No shot unless we give up more than enough.

They aren’t trading. This is why tanking and getting the first pick was critical. These meaningless wins costed us.

Uh, blow two years of picks for one player?

No ****ing way and I wish people would stop with this stupidity.

Agreed! So many people were cheering for these meaningless wins and now realizing that we just screwed ourselves on getting the best QB in the draft.

I must have missed it but who wants to trade all the picks? It was a simple questio.

everything

Everything or almost everything. We'd retain a few crumbs

Trade up in that range is a haul. #4 pick is theoretically worth just more than half the #1 pick. So via that reference point alone you'd have to come up with picks that total the #4 pick again. That would wipe out the two later first round picks, if let's say they are 20 and 25.

Then for a quarterback these's normally a bonus required. As mentioned up thread, the home town fans will assume the quarterback and want the quarterback. If you are not delivering you better darn sure allow them to rationalize the return.

I'd have done if for a fully healthy Tua, but Burrow isn't some generational talent although he's good and I'd surely take him at 1. Cincy will want a ransom starting with 2-3 first round picks.

Our only shot is the Giants getting that top pick and being a willing seller. Will we be high enough for them to still secure a target too -- if they fall in love with Chase Young, then no.

If we're not comfortable with Tua's medical.... build the trenches, take a chance on Jordan Love or Jalen Hurts with 1c or 2a, and target Lawrence/Fields/whoever emerges in 2021. We have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds next year and will probably add more during the 2020 draft.

I wouldn't take a player in the top 5 that isn't Young or a QB either. Definitely moving down at that point.

You'll find it funny but if I had to compare him to someone I'd say Fitz himself, lol, just not streaky.

If we add recent history, Aikman.

Which current NFL QB does Joe Burrow remind you of?

I would say to an extent Romo in his play style, kind of a makes plays can run around pick some stuff up with his legs. But he isnt a hat backwards guy in mentality like Romo. He is pretty fiery and can inspire his teammates so more of a Rivers type of guy there.

He's tougher and not afraid of contact, though, so he has that on Aikman. Aikman had stronger arm though. His stance in the pocket and his mechanics scream Aikman.

Great team mate and leader like Aikman. Kind of a jerk but that's good, lol. Certainly not Mr Sunshine like Tannehill. He'll run his mouth, be a dog, chew an ol out, very vocal, arrogant and passionate. Team mates play for him. This is a Justin Jefferson we had never seen before, lol!

His pops is an old school, heavy discipline coach, buzz cut and all, so there's that.
