Butt Slap Lands Chad Johnson in Jail

She was a complete bitch no doubt about it. But I must say it was at least slightly amusing watching a pro athlete that's used to doing whatever the hell they want with nothing more than a trivial fine get thrown in jail for being an idiot. She was a bitch and he was being an attention whore as usual....they both suck, but she has all the power in that situation. Live and (hopefully) learn, Chad.

I have to side with the Judge on this one. He's in court for violating his parole in a spousal abuse case. For once in your life Chad stand up there and be respectful. This isn't Hard Knocks, or judge Judy. This is real life and as such there are times when you or me, all of us need to show others the respect they deserve. A court of law is one of those times and certainly one of those places.

Oh please.

Johnson gave his lawyer a playful and light slap on the rear after someone asked if he was happy with the work his lawyer did. Both sides had come to an agreement over all the issues pertaining to Johnson's violations. The judges response is absolutely ridiculous. Her punishment didnt even remotely fit the "crime".

Complete powertrip. People laughed in her courtroom so she laid down the law. Screw her.

Chad Johnson displayed that he was not taking a serious situation seriously. No problem with the Judge flipping out on him and sending him to jail.

Meh ...

This country has been going downhill ever since telling a female co-worker that she has "nice jugs" would earn you a visit from HR. :idk:

The judge's certification needs revoked. This does not warrant 30 days in jail. Jail is for people that need to be rehabilitated & she's contributing to wasting tax payer dollars.

Actually prior to the "Butt Slap" the judge made it perfectly clear that Chad could've been sentenced to up to a year for his parole violation. He should've just acknowledged what she said with a smile and a "Thank you your honor" and been on his way. I like Chad. I find him amusingly funny. But that humor of his not only got him thrown in jail for 30 days but it most likely helped to end his NFL career.

I hope with this is all said and done he actually learns from this.

I have no answer to anyone that can't distinguish the difference between spousal abuse and patting your attorney on the ass for a job well done. Especially in lieu of the fact that slapping a teammate on the ass occurs often in pro sports. The Judge needs to have thicker skin and throttle down the impulsive decision making in her position.

a waste of jail space to put him in jail for this. jail should be for actual criminals

Slapping someone's ass in sports isn't the same thing as doing it in a courtroom. If Johnson didn't already have a clown reputation this might not have been an issue. The fact that people in the courtroom, including the bailiff, laughed out loud when he slapped his lawyer's ass.

In lieu of jail I'd send him to compete on Survivor. Only this version has no TV coverage and instead he just gets left on a remote island somewhere out of the public eye.

Although Chad is no Saint...none of us are...I don't think he deserves a 30 day jail sentence for tapping his attorney on the butt in the courtroom....that's what athletes do...It was just nervous energy that caused him to do it...we all do crazy things when we're nervous...so I'm defending Chad the Athlete on this one.....
