The team's recent performance merited Kubiak getting canned, but overall he did a good job in Houston. He got an expansion team over the hump for their first playoff berth(s) and had them as one of the best teams in the league until the wheels fell off this year. He made the controversial decision to pick somebody not named Reggie Bush first overall and that turned out to be the right decision, and unfortunately for him he had his most talented team see the misfortune of his top two QB's going down before their first playoff berth.

His team was still better with him than without, as that game where they blew a big game after he left at halftime.
