DAVIE -- Nick Saban entered the Miami Dolphins interview room for his weekly post-mortem Monday, reading glasses in hand. He didn't need to wear them, because at this point he's working without a script.

In 12 previous years as a head coach, Saban never had a losing record. But his Dolphins are 1-6 and tied for the worst record in the NFL, and he's taking heat for the dismal start.

"Am I embarrassed? No,'' Saban said. ``Am I angry about it? No. Do I want to spend all my time focusing on what we can do to make it better? Absolutely.''

Why be sad, its his mess and he has 6 mill to ease his pain. I would be happy if I had his dough and a 1-6 record.

He's embarassed and pissed off, but why should he admit it to the media? That's what they want him to do...pull a Denny Green.

Good call, but the only thing I agree with Denny Green that I think Saban should do is fire his offensive coordinator. Dan Marino for Offensive Coordinator...wouldn't that be great:dolphins:

It's not about the money for coaches in the NFL. It's sometimes a thankless job and there is NO WAY a coach would ever be in it for the money. They work a tremendous amount of hours a week, often sacrificing their family for the benefit of the team. Something that often continues throughout the off season. Coaches are the leader of their team and likewise take losses the hardest. No way in hell that Saban or any other coach in the NFL is just happy to collect a big paycheck.

its obvious that the players are upset and distraught with the dismal season thus far, but seriously a statement needs to be made, nick cant just pretend that its been a rough start and that itll all be fine, harsher words need to be said depth chart moves need to be done and guys need to be called out......im concerned to think if these players even care how bad they are this isnt the cardinals its the miami dolphins who have a history of winning and we rnt just going to change the image of our franschise because we have a bunch of guys who dont care...ive love how wayne doesnt like to involved with the lockerroom in the past but its time he starts demanding more from this team and that the players start to demand more from themselves..... but 5 guys who need a major call out to
Randy Mcmike- has to stop dropping balls and setting up picks, has hurt us more than helped us this season
Chris Chambers- ive always loved chambers but he has to get more involved, what looked to be his breakout year has turned out into a nightmare still without reaching the 100 yard recieving mark
Oline- im sure they have got the most heat for what has been going on thus far which is approbriate but these guys still need to get pushed around until they make progress
secondary- in all the secondary is a disaster, will allen can talk all the smack he wants but its only hurting us...we need 2 safeties badly and i think we have them on the team, bell and allen but they need to get their chances
Coaching Staff- the whole coaching staff needs a wake up call and i think it should be delievered by wayne, but especially nick has to talk to mike and ask him about the dumb sht hes running, or actually passing
Olind Mare- this guy cant make a field goal pass 40 yards, his career is over ive never felt so much untrust in a guy than i do in olindo mare

We needed a bye week after the Buffalo game. I really thought having a later bye week would finally be benifical for us.

Why don't we get a bye week after every game..... then we could only lose 4 more :fire:

You must have short term memory loss, you say it is Saban's mess??? Excuse, but didn't Saban inherit a team that was 4-12 when he signed on???
Seems to me like this team has been a mess for the last three years. Give him some time to rebuild this team because that is what we are....a rebuilding team, not a play off caliber team. I am tired of people saying we have so much talent on this team, we might of had some about three years ago, now all the great ones like Zach or Jason are getting up there and the others have been traded or lost to free agency, (Surtain and Madison). It is time to play the young guns and see what they have to offer, maybe some enthusiasm that seems to be lacking.
