I think we should give Byron a try, i mean he's not what he used to be but he's still yound at 27 years of age i think... I mean he could compete for the starting job with Daunte, but i would pick Daunte over him... But hey he could be a great backup QB for us, since Joey is probally going to be gone

I know some of you haters out there think he is garbage, but i think we should try and get him..

Leftwich would cost us way too much and wouldn't be an upgrade over Daunte. I think we should draft Brady Quinn (hopefully he'll be there at #9!) or one of the other young guns in the draft like Stenson or Smith. Coach Cameron can groom them while Daunte and Cleo battle it out for the starting job in training camp.
 
It would have to be a 6th round conditional pick and a severe restructuring of his rookie contract for thatto be worth it.
 
I don't think he would sign with the Phins if CP was still on the team. If CP is on the team I don't think it would be for a backup role. He's the starter or he's gone IMO.
 
omg no... Its not a realistic option, Im not sure exactly where he would be priced at but im assuming it would ATLEAST be a second round pick. He would also command probablly somewhere in the 5-7 million dollar price range, out of the salary cap question, and waaayyy to much for a back-up. Everyone should get this out of thier heads because its flat out insane, its not going to happen, period, end of story.
 
Let him sign with Cleveland or Oakland or Houston maybe even Minny. We have Daunte and we need those teams to sign QB so we can draft Quinn.....

We already have Byron Leftwhich on this roster. He goes by the name of Daunte Culpepper
 
He's a statue.

Before bringing in a guy like that, you'd have to acquire 4-5 Pro Bowl offensive linemen.

sorry bro, the only similarity between the two is that there both black and they have a strong arm, and have faced a little bit of adversity as of late. There a totally differany breed.... Im also a little tired of people comparing every big black quarterback to Culpepper and every 'running' quarterback to Vick.
 
Byron reminds me of Drew Bledsoe, strong arm but 5.5 40
 
I think Cleveland trades for Byron, their o-line will be getting stronger with Bently coming back.Out of all the teams out there they have the best line to compliment Byron....
 
Alot of people think Byron will end up in Oakland, i dont think he's a bad Quarterback at all, i just dont think he's a feasible option for this team.
