I know everyone is high on mcclain but he just seems slow to me watching him on film, not saying he would be a bad pick and i know we need defense
but watching c.j spiller this kid is explosive and electric, if mcclain isnt there at #12 picking up spiller that would be awesome, no complaints from me watching this kid reminds me alot of chris johnson, i know alot are looking at mcclain but there a good chance broncos will pick him up. and with spiller on the board it will be hard for the trifecta to pass on him IMO

The best thing is for all teams to think that we are taking Spiller, Bryant, or McClain.

And then, we can trade or surprise them:

I would be ok with that more picks the better, lets just hope that they want spiller so bad that there willing to jump in our spot, i think we are in a good spot for some trading, but if not i think we pick a a great player with our postion.

why the hell should we pass on premier players like mcclain and dez bryant to acquire lower rated players later in the draft???

we need top level talent...we've got enough pretty good to average players on this roster...

if dez bryant or mcclain are there at pick #12 i run the card up with their names on it...

they are top 10 talents imo off tape...

I would not call Brandon Graham and Micah Johnson average.
Moreover, if we trade down, we can pick up additional picks which we need badly to fill other needs.
But honestly, I would not even trade down, because I want to get Graham at 12. I don't want to risk that someone else takes him.

first im not 100% sold on mcclain is he a good player sure he is, is a a game changer we shall see, and dez bryant we know wont get drafted by this regime because we know parcells doenst like spending high draft picks on recivers, the reason i mention spiller is because he is a game changer, he is explosive and hits the holes for massive yardage, and spiller isnt that down on the charts. but i do know we need defensive players. so the questions is NEED or BPA.

Most teams draft most of the time for needs. Which is only logical.

If you need a cornerback and you have 3 good QBs but some chart says that this QB is the best rated player it makes little sense to take him.

That is the situation with Spiller. I saw him play in HS and hoped he would be a Gator and he could be a game changer in the NFL but we are semi loaded at running backs and we have a huge need at linebacker.

IMO, we need two starting linebackers out of this draft. Much like the Bengals got K.Rivers and R.Maualuga last year.

We could of had R. Maualuga at ILB and Conner Barwin at OLB instead of V. Davis and Pat White (although I like the Davis pick).

I would also want a good TE over another rookie WR. We have more of a two TE offense then a 3-4 wide WR offense.

"He's got gettin away from the cops speed."
seriously though, his durability and speed would be a great asset to any team, if McClain is on the board though, gotta go with him, dude is around the ball ALL the time

Rivers was draft the year before REY but was on IR after a hit from Hines Ward on a interception.

dude...you look at brandon graham as a wolb...that's all i got to say

i don't consider brandon graham average...he's my favorite solb prospect...plays with power and leverage, sets the edge in the run game, bull strong...he's either a solb or a 4-3 end depends on how he fares in lb drills

micah johnson provides a thump and sifts thru trash pretty well...it would have been nice to see him fully healthy so i could grade his lateral quickness and speed to the perimeter and coverage abilities...right now i see a thumper

and passing up premier talent for need when you lack talent is nuts...it just so happens that a good number of the premium talent in this draft plays positions of need for us...

So you are one of those nitpickers? you are one of those that looks at whether he is 6-3 or 6-2.5, or 245, or 248? Graham is monster. He played both sides, and both 3 and 2 stance, at Michigan. I was thinking: since they are grooming Wake at SOLB, Graham would be a great complement at WOLB, which is what he did at Michigan quite a lot. We need better rush and better OLB play; much better.

For sure, if Spiller is there at 12 take him.

is it nitpicking to say that his strengths and skill set better fit a solb??? i don't think so

and i don't see cam wake as a solb either...even though he rushed with his hands in the dirt from the right side...he's if an olb a wolb to me...ie joey porters replacement...

a solb must be murder against the run...a good one at least

I still dont understand why we are so concerned on our offense. Yeah its a problem but its not #1 priority. To be perfectly honest I think we have great depth at running back. atleast until the season after next. Im just saying we are gona have seriouse problems if we dont start building this defense.

One thing for sure is that Brandon Graham is not "Average". That is just lazy and unqualified. You tell me how someone who led the nation in TFL is average?

Spiller is indeed a superstar forthcoming. Losing to the Texans, Titans, and Steelers turned to be a blessing in terms of the draft as I am certain either Earl Thomas, CJ Spiller, Dez Bryant, or Rolando McClain will fall into our laps. All will be Elite Players
