C.J. Spiller

i was thinking the same, he would be nasty in the wildcat after ricky retires

Doubt a running back gets picked this year. I mean we already have Williams, Brown (sure he will be resigned, if no new CBA is reached he stays.) Cobbs, Hilliard and Sheets. So unless he would replace Hilliard or Sheets doubt he would get a spot. There is a reason they grabbed Sheets as soon as they new Cobbs was gone for the year.

Spiller killed the U yesterday in every way imaginable. He would look great in the Ricky role in the wildcat but I don't see it happening. After today, all of our weaknesses were exposed in the second half so I don't think we are at the point where we can draft a luxury player at a position we are relatively stacked at.

C.J Spiller has no use on this team. I don't see "star" written all over him, but I can see him being maybe a slightly above average NFL starter, but he'll most likely be used in the type of way Reggie Bush is being used at New Orleans (with less WR type roles).

you gotta be kidding me he is the acc all time leader in yds. You don't see star written all over him? he has elite speed.

If you think speed is the only thing you need to be a star RB, then you obviously don't understand how the draft works.

Spiller has nice agility and speed, I just don't see his game translating to the NFL. His style tends to fit more for college imo.

No I think WORLD CLASS speed, game changing return ability, and the power to make dudes miss you all day is what you need to be a star in the N.F.L. what makes you so sure he won't "Translate to the N.F.L.? you some kind of wannabe scout?

spiller will make plays at a chrisjohnson-darrensproles level, even though he's not our biggest need, i'd be okay if we took him 17th overall. All he needs is a few plays a game to impact it, him and ronnie in the future is a nasty combo.

However, now I'm wondering what it would be like if Ronnie took a fatty contract from, lets say the browns.. Grabbing Spiller first, and going into the season with Ricky, Cobbs, and Hilliard? I'm okay with that, infact I think we'd have one of the better committees in the league. Ricky looks great to me, i think he can maintain this level thru the 2010 Season. 2011 season i think ricky enjoys off.
Dont get me wrong, I love Ronnie, but he deserves a big contract and he's getting old.

This is comming from a guy though, that sees running backs as a dime a dozen. And is a huge fan of Cobbs getting more work, and Ricky ending his career on a high note.
