Well FinFans...as you all know...this season was another waste. All the high expectations we had...went down the drain when we began the season 1-6. Now...the only reason we won 6 games this season...was because of our defense...let's face it...our offense has been awful all season. Our team has played much better in the second half of the season but we are not balanced and very inconsistent. Yesterday...we lost because our secondary can't make plays on the ball and because our offense did nothing.

C-PEP is the answer...gosh I hope his knee heals up...I'm keeping my fingers crossed. C-PEP is our qb...he's the future. Obviously he played hurt and need to rehab longer. We know what we got with J. Harrington....he's a back-up period. He's another Jay Fiedler...he's asked not to lose the game for us and you know what...he has lost games for us...if you people don't see that...you are nutz.

I'm hope C-PEP gets his knee healthy and returns to his Pro-Bowl form next season.

Go Fins!!!

I am hoping he heals up and plays well. I still have a lot of questions about whether or not Culpepper is our future. But I can see clear as day that Harrington isn't. So GO DAUNTE!

Or maybe

GO FIRST ROUND DRAFTED QB WHOSE NAME IS TBD!

:D

I have alot of trust in Saban. However if he makes another move this off season like picking up Culpepper last season, I will have serious doubts. Picking up Harrington was a good move for an insurance policy. We need to draft a good QB this year. We have Culpepper under contract until what 2013? OMG.

If Daunte returns any where near his pro bowl form, I will be sastified. As long as he can be a guy who can make big plays, be it with his arm or his legs, he doesn't have to be a pro bowler for the Dolphins to succeed. He's just got to be able to sustain some drives, put some points on the board and minimize turnovers. I expect our defense to be even better next year as the defensive backfield will be more mature and Saban is likely to add some depth there this offseason.

Just because Harrington isn't the answer, it doesn't make Culpepper the answer by default. Culpepper may still be a bust, regardless of what Harrington did or didn't do this season.

Sure, Culpepper is the future of the Dolphins because we are stuck with him, but there's no guarantee he's going to be anything special here either. And if that is the case, Saban (and the franchise) are going to be plain out of luck.

If we wish to win games next season, Daunte had better be the answer. Because no way is ANY drafted QB going to come in here and win games next season.

We know one thing for SURE: Joey is NOT the answer!

We keep Daunte as a veteran mentor to Troy Smith that we will draft in round 1 (unless we actually draft OLine which we almost never do but probably should).

Dan Marino, Ben Roethlisberger and Vince Young all did.

Agreed.

I'm not so sure about that. IMO you gotta pickup a young QB in the draft that you think has potential. Groom him as a number two behind Culpepper. If Culpepper is a bust then slowly work him into the game plan. Once Culpepper see's he's not the guy anymore then he'll want out so he can start somewhere else.

And if Culpepper does work out then everyone is happy and you still have some talent at the #2 QB position.

C-pep the answer? You must be on drugs

why you say that?

he only played in 4 games on a weak knee...he needed rehab on his knee...he need to get his knee stronger and came back to early.

Harrington on the other hand played and lost games for us. he also played when the team started to play better. the o-line got better and our defense began to play better...when C-PEP played...he had no help.

Go Fins!!!

What if C-Pepp never recovers from his injury?...are we going to keep him here until 2013 just to see if he gets better? I am sorry but I think sometimes you just have to say, "We made a mistake," cut our losses and go to Plan B: Drafting a QB....not some damaged player, or other team's rejects (see Scotty Mitchell, Feeley, Fiedler, Frerotte, Ray Lucas, etc.)

Draft a QB....Brohm, Tyler Palko, Troy Smith...someone we can build a future with.

i'm not against drafting a qb...i'm all for it believe me but...we won't get a shot at drafting one of the guys you mentioned...we won't have that high of a pick...maybe tyler palko but i'm not to crazy about him.

i was really hoping in last year's draft that miami would take C. Whithurst (sp) that was taken by San Diego...I liked him.

I say we keep Daunte as a mentor for his clone Jemarcus Russell.

i dont think it's that obvious at all, in fact i would disagree. his knees where good enough for him to play the preseason games and several regular season games this season.

i just dont see any kind of rehab or surgury fixing his knees to allow him to run like he did. He lost a huge weapon (running ability) that he has been using since he was in highschool. Can he learn to play without it? Thats the real question.
