Possible destinations for Culpepper according to NFL personnel men that speculated on the matter still include the Detroit Lions, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New England Patriots and the St. Louis Rams

He cost them 3-4 games that year. That team in that weak div and conf should have been about 11-5 and had a 1st rd bye. He s not a winner and I don't root for injuries but obviously i'd feel alot better about the ivision if Daunte was the QB in NE instead of Brady. That is a HUGE downgrade.

I agree I would rather face a Patriot team with Culpepper at QB rather then Brady.

I agree, NY...I'd love to see Cpep leading the Pats instead of Brady...I doubt it would be a Jeff Garcia/Eagles-esque season. The Pats offensive style plays to Cpeps weaknesses. The only thing I can say is that it could give him a place to ressurect his career since he'd sit on the bench of a winning franchise. It would certainly hurt to see him get a ring though...
 
First off chill , why would they do this when have matt casell in the 2nd QB spot.

Matt played 2nd QB for 2 yrs and knows the offence better than any one
Matt is 26,6 4,230 proto typical NFL size with less age
Matt has learned his trade from vinny,doug flutie ,haurd and brady-all starters who were good.

Matt has 6 preseason games and 2 regular games experience running the offence.

why would they need CP as every one knows NE runs a very complicated offence which is hard to learn.CP has never shown he can learn anything other than throw the deep ball and hope the WR gets it.

Right now matt is taking snaps with all the new WR and vinny T is also in their.They even have a new rookie in their so that 4 QB`s .

I laughed out loud when I read that.

They said it was speculation, but I don't know what they are basing it on, if anything.

Obviously they have Brady in the one spot, then they have Cassel who they really like and then there is Testaverde (not under contract but still attending mini camp) and Matt Gutierrez. There's a good chance that the Patriots only start out the season with 2 QBs and then bring in Testaverde later in the season once a spot opens up from injury.

So basically, this makes no sense.:confused:

Why, oh why, do we act like football is rocket science??? It is a game...it is not that complicated!!!!
 
Not like he would ever play a down anyways. Maybe a few snaps on Week 17 as the Patriots would be resting Brady that game and the Bye week they will have for the playoffs.

If they are getting him to try and get "information" from us, then I think we're safe. I don't think Daunte was ever smart enough to learn anything to give out anything of importance to other teams.
 
CPEP to NE

I cannot believe I'm on the same page as a J-e-t-s fan, but I would love to see CPep at NE, filling in for an injured Brady. So would Jason Taylor, Joey Porter, etc...
What's the sack record for most in 1 NFL game?
