C-Webb's Done in Philly

im sure roman and all philly fans will rejoice.
ive always been a webber fan, but webber's post mcl injury years have been really sad.

As a Sixer fan, glad to see him go although it certainly wasn't his fault King the idiot traded for him. What a short sighted and moronic move. He was signed through last year, if anybody can tell me the exact cap ramifications I'd appreciate it.

Man I am so happy.....BK is cleaning house!!!

This is not a bad deal. I would have expected somehwere in the 4-8 range. Webber's not getting more than that on the open market. They came in at the low end but on the other hand they save a lot in luxury tax payments.

Until Billy King is done in Philly, this is all just rearranging deck furniture on the Titanic.

What you dont trust the King with 3 first round draft picks? :sidelol:
Man Philly is approaching that Atlanta Hawks, NY Knicks level of stupidity right now.

I remember when you guys traded for him. He was having a really good season in SacTown (Had a lot of triple doubles before the trade). Problem was he was playing in a high post offense there which requires little movement from him,, and he could take all the jumpers he wanted.

Of course, part of the blame goes on the coaches for knowing that CWebb could not/would not post up anymore, and continuously ask him to post up.

I could see him going to a team like Phoenix (where all he has to do is take jumpers), and doing good.

As a longtime Wiz/Bullets fan I can say this is what was so incredibly frustrating about Webber. For some unknown reason he wanted to be Magic Johnson or a shooting guard. He rarely played post defense and although he had a solid postup game rarely went to it. He was completely content to stand around and chuck up 20footers and three pointers. To me he could have been such a better player, he put up numbers but having a guy his size not playing interior defense and basically playing SF or SG really hurt his teams. He was too soft to be a great player.
