I've been following Caddy's back issues since it was reported the first week of training camp that he didn't work out the first week due to back spasms...the back spasms flared up again a few weeks ago.
Now I read this from ESPN's Will Carroll (very reputable source):
Bob Dobolina: Will, Eric Karabell made some very vague reference to there being "something more going on" with Cadillac Williams. Any info on this?
Will Carroll: (3:09 PM ET ) There's nothing vague here. Sources tell me that Williams has herniated discs in his back. That's much more serious than back spasms, but something that can be managed. I don't know the severity of the herniations, but the Bucs medical staff has a task ahead of them. I think this downgrades Williams a bit in the short term and makes Michael Pittman a must-have handcuff.
