I know, by my siggy you can tell I am a homer where this is leading, but Brian Urlacher is an animal. When he played at UNM he was actually a Strong Safety. Looks like he has made the transition to Linebacker pretty well. Also, that was one heck of an INT for a linebacker...:D

I got to see Urlacher play when the New Mexico Lobos played Air Force....he plays hard all the time.....although I would still take Zach Thomas as my middle linebacker.

Zack is more of a true Linebacker, and could not be replaced in our system, but Urlacher has really come a long ways from being the little kid from Lovington NM

I saw an ad with Urlacher and the field he played on in Lovington....does his dad or brother coach there?...they had a guy talking about him that looked just like him....same crew cut too.

Not sure, I'm actually from Northern New Mexico (Los Alamos). I do know that Lovington is a small farming community that is a perennial state powerhouse, usually playing against high schools with about 4x the students. While at UNM he was an outstanding student and from what I have heard a pretty good guy.

Northern New Mexico is nice....Raton and Angel Fire....been there lots. :)

Yeah, me too. Unfortunately for now, I am stuck in the god-forsaken desert. I have also been to the springs, very nice. Red Rocks, etc. My Grandpa lived in Euray for a spell. I started skiing at 3, so I saw lots of Colorado.....
