Why on earth did they call a pass on the last possession from midfield instead of running more time off?

Because Lineman is awful at managing the redzone ande the clock. He was the same at Minnesota.
 
the call that will cost us the game is that bullsh!t pass interference call against howard - that was NOT PI.... cotchery fell down, and acted... sold it to the refs
 
I agree,that pass interference call by the ref was horrible.Having said that,I think that Nick Saban should get the game ball for screaming and hollering
at the ref on the sidelines,that usually prevents another immediate call which then influenced the non call that should of been called
on Madison in the endzone.Great day! Colts lose and our undefeated
season is safe and we are still in the playoff hunt albeit the small
chance we have:dolphins:
 
Yeah, that pass interference call on Reggie Howard was pretty questionable. The ball was thrown about 5 yards deeper than the reciever and they got tangled up in incidental contact anyway. I'm happy though because the officials didn't call P.I. on Madison (when it should've been) and we still won the game.

I was pissed at the call, but all is still well in fin land for 2 reasons

Yep,It should of been a pass interference but that no call was definitely
attributed to Saban's blasting of the officials,that worked for him and the
Fins in the Madison no call.
 
They didn't overlook these guys either, this game played out exactly the way it always does. Nice win especially with the BS call.
 
That was one of the worst PI calls I've ever seen. One of the primary considerations is that the pass be catchable, which that one obviously was not. Even if it was not overthrown, it was off line.
The contact also was initiated as much by the WR as it was by Howard.
Saban was still jawing at Back Judge Richard Reels after the game.

Ditto.... I was so mad when they threw that flag that my wife won't talk to me because I was SCREAMING!!! What a bad bad bad call!:fire:
 
I thought you were talking about the Howard call.

That call didn't cost us anything (Sage throwing). So what if they ran another time. They just use one more timeout. I like the throwing, teams always lose when they play too conservative not realizing how much time they have left. 4:00 minutes is a long time and it is far to early to just run a dead end play just to make the other team use a timeout. Good call by Linehan,

Dude....I broke the sliding keyboard holder on my desk when I jumped out of my chair when I saw that flag fly...

On a side note...now I have an excuse to buy a new computer desk.:evil:
