I'm sure some of you are listening too, a guy called into Boogs show saying he wants to see Daunte at full-speed in a real game (which makes no sense because pre-season games are full speed as well) and he wants to see something from Ronnie because he's showed him "nothing" to this point. Well, these kind of calls anger me.

I mean, even if Ronnie needs to improve, to say you didn't see anything from him up to this very point, tells me you're either A) not a Dolphins fan or B) you dont watch the games, you only read message board threads.

Sorry for the rant guys, I'm just all jakked and nervous about the game so I guess I'm easily irritated. I know not everyone thinks Ronnie is going to be great, but at least have a clue when you speak about your supposed "favorite" team. Jesssusssssss... :tantrum:

Roonie is the best back in his class (better then Carnell IMHO) and Daunte need at least 3 games to back 100% confident in his knees.

GO FINS!

Im sick and tired of people believing that because your a dolphins fan or because its your favorite team, you should support them no matter what, and find things in games that dont exist. Thats called being a Homer, believing that your team is great no matter what. Thats not being a fan.

Two years ago, I rooted against the Miami Dolphins in almost every game. People told me I wasnt a true fan. But my intentions, as I explained, were so that Wannstedt would get fired and that my favorite team would hire a great coach that would help make our team better.

As a TRUE FAN, I realized that to be successful, we needed a year of being terrible, a year to shock our team into being great. And what happened?

4-12 was the best season for us. Wannstache left, next we hired Saban, and we're on the road to success.

So its ok to see fault where fault lies and not cloud yourself with the idea of our players/coaches being perfect. I for one am looking for Ronnie Brown to step up and show me something great. Because personally what I've seen from him has been good, but good enough for a late 1st, early 2nd round pick. Not the 2nd pick overall.

Im hoping this season he proves he was definitly, without a doubt, worth it.

You can't be serious. No one liked Wanny anymore either, but to actually pull for the other team? That New England game must've broke your heart.

Great post, gotta love what you're saying. I did the same thing in 2004, rooted against my beloved Phins, for the same reason, to get rid of Wannidiot, also to get a higher draft number.

Of course I supported our team, especially against our rivals. But I wanted us to lose. To play well, but have a horrible season. 4-12. 3-13. Anything that would force Huizenga's hand and get that horrible coach out of our office.

Its a tough position to be in. Wanting your team to go to the superbowl and win it all, but knowing it will never be possible with the current coaching administration.

I didnt like rooting for losses. But I sure like the thought of Daunte leading a coaching brainchild's offense into the promiseland.

Would Wannstedt be able to pull that off?

I can't believe what i'm hearing. Did any of you watch the games last year? Ronnie is a STUD. Take Ricky out of the picture, and Ronnie Brown puts up way more rush yards then Cadillac and wins rookie of the year. From what i've seen this pre season, the o-line did a good job at pass blocking, but couldn't open hole to save there lives. You can't blame Ronnie for getting hit in the back field immediatly after he gets the ball. Ronnie will have prove the naysayers wrong.

Are you people insane?

When you get to 1-9, I dont see why wanting to tank the season so you can be better the following year is such a bad thing.

Look at where we've ended up

Well, he's correct.....if his definition of "Ronnie has shown me nothing" is "Ronnie has not carried the load as a feature back for an entire season."

But to me, Ronnie showed some real flashes last year and had some great games (particularly the Carolina game). I am excited to watch him this year.

Exactly. I have to admit, I like Ronnie, but he hasn't proven that he can be the best back in the league. I like the guy, but some people on here are getting ahead of themselves.

I think he will be one of the best, but I'm gonna wait until he shows it before I get all excited. And I know, he probably would have been outstanding last year, if things would have went differently. I mean, he had 900 yards last year.

A) If he would have been in training camp, he would have picked up quite a few more in the first few games
B) Williams got 700 rushing yards, that's a lot of oppurtunities taken away from Ronnie
C)Linehan didn't run the ball enough
D) Ronnie missed a couple games towards the end of the season

I'll let the last one slide, injuries are bound to happen sometime. The other 3 though? If it weren't for the contract holdout, Ricky Williams, and Linehan's playcalling, just imagine what Ronnie could have done last season....

Don't get me wrong though, I wanted Ricky here and I still do. If it hurts Ronnie's stats, oh well. The game isn't about his stats, it's about having all the weapons possible to win. I would take Ricky over Morris as 2nd RB anyday.

Agreed. I like Ricky, and think they both did a good job last year. But not even Walter Payton or Barry Sanders could make plays with how the line performed in the pre season. I know, i know, pre season doesn't mean anything. And i have to believe that cause i'm looking for a big year out of the line, whether were passing or running. But isn't about time to start looking at the real problem. Ronnie showed last year as a rookie he is a premier featured back. If he doesn't put up top 10 numbers, i don't think it will be lack of skill or talent, it will be because, we either pass heavy, or line doesn't do it's job.

are ppl waiting 4 ronnie to average 6 ypc come on you cant break away every play, a good runner get you 3,5,4,6[4.5 ypc] thats consistency not 2 yards a carry then one long run.

I figure this, wether you root for the Fins or not doesn't determine the outcome of the game. So why would you root against them? When they lost in 04' I cant say I was heartbroken because we knew that Wanny was gone, but in no way did I ever root against my fins.

Ronnie and C-Pep are going to be ready for the game tonight. We are going to see something happen with this team that we haven't seen since Dan left. Were going to see a Dolphins team that is a bigger threat on Offense than Defense. I cant wait.

:dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins: :dolphins:

Every player in the league has something to prove every year, I don't care if they are P.Manning or B.Anderson!! Just because you did something great last year doesn't maen you'll do the same this year. Bottom line, I don't take offense to everyones opinions. Ronnie ran well last year, lets see him run great for a year before we put him in elite status.
