Calling Tannehill... Tanny or Tanne?

The Ryan Tannehill nicknames thread

Unnecessary? Of course.
Stupid? Oh, God, yes.
The place where awful puns go to die? You know it.

Even still, someone would have gotten to it eventually. And as this is the slowest part of the year, in the run up to OTAs where even then there is much ado about nothing, it seems a reasonable way to pass a few braindead minutes.

So, with all the wisdom of the first in a pack of ducks to wander out onto a highway, I'll start this thing off. Cue the :bobdole:

I like "Tannehill" no need for something ridiculous or flashy. Let him earn something. How many QB's (or players tbh) have nicknames? Big Ben, Matty Ice, ...
 
eh, not a big nickname guy unless it's a shorten part of their name, like Tanney or something like that. I will probably most likely call him Ryan.

I feel like a lot of the QBs in this league really don't have nicknames, Tom, Peyton, Eli, Drew, Philip, Michael. There's some QBs like A-Rod, Matty Ice, and Big Ben but for the most part I just like to call them by their names.

This is just supposed to be a fun exercise, dude. So stop with the white knuckle "oh no, let's not anoint him" paranoia, unclench your anus, and treat it as such.

you created a nickname thread, I had already created a nickname thread, they were both on the front page, I don't see how it was ridiculous.


Hmmm perhaps your thread was created in jest? Perhaps I should've moved it to spam.

Not all nickname threads are created equal. Yours was a serious question, mine was treated humorously. Plus, yours had been dead for two weeks. The only reason it was still on the main page is because this is the dead part of the year.

But move it to spam if it makes you feel better.
