This is just supposed to be a fun exercise, dude. So stop with the white knuckle "oh no, let's not anoint him" paranoia, unclench your anus, and treat it as such.

Dude says he doesn't think Tannehill should have a nickname yet. So what's the big deal? That's a valid opinion in this discussion whether it is a serious or fun discussion.

I personally am in the same boat, I feel nicknames are earned out of performance and not given based on expectations. I say leave it Tannehill until he does something to earn him a name such as Air Mcnair, Big Ben, The Bus, Boomer, Sweetness, Primetime, etc...with big time performance comes the accolades and grandeur that spawns the nicknames of greatness.

Seriously though, I really don't care but why not discuss the merits of calling him Tanne for short? It sounds the same as Tanny, but doesn't immediately make you think of tranny or fanny. Ok so if you think of Tranny you're probably a sick guy like this former marine, but ... that is beside the point. Ok off to the ladies lounge now to purify my mind.
