OK, here's why...

Malcom "Cam" Cameron is the current offensive coordinator for the NFL's San Diego Chargers. Cameron, who was the head football coach at Indiana University from 1997-2001, has guided one of the NFL's most productive offenses over the past four seasons. His squad's success has not gone unnoticed as Cameron interviewed for the head coaching positions with both the Houston Texans and St. Louis Rams following the 2005 season.
The Chargers averaged 26.1 points per game in 2005, good for fifth in the NFL in that category. In 2004, San Diego scored 446 points, third-highest in the NFL and the third-most in team history. Following the 2004 campaign, Sports Illustrated named Cameron its Offensive Assistant of the Year.
During his tenure at Indiana, Cameron helped develop quarterback Antwaan Randle El (currently with the Washington Redskins) into a 2001 first-team All-America selection. Cameron spent the 1994-96 seasons as the quarterbacks coach for the Washington Redskins. He was credited with the development of Gus Frerotte, who was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1997.

Want the most out of Ronnie Brown?...Chambers?...Hagan?...Peele?...Cam and Hud, they go back...and most of all, HE KNOWS HOW TO SCORE POINTS!

Put him at the HC...Dom stays at DC...Randy is made GM...would this make you mad?

I happen to like the system and I wouldn't mind Cam. This is Norv's offensive system and it's a good one. I'm not sure, but I believe it's from the same root coach as Martz's system.

Honestly, no, if Saban leaves and all the dust settles and we're then in the posistion to talk about a new coach, we could do a lot worse IMO than Cam Cameron. A very successful offensive minded coach that could be a shot in the arm. Look at how the Jets did with Mangini, the Saints did with Sean Payton, coordinators that came in, KNEW the professional game even if this was their first chance. I wouldn't be against Cameron.

Ummm....

I'm not a big fan of Cam Cameron...but you are asking the wrong question anyhow...
its time to get a real GM...

Pioli.

It's hard to imagine Pioli going to an AFC East team without BB's blessing. It would be a real backstabbing move.

It would make me sick. And I'd start calling for him to be fired before he coached in even his first game.

its hard to tell how good cameron really is with all the talent on the chargers though...if u got LT, gates and a beast OL u have to score points...what do u guys think of n.chow? i havent seen much of the titan offensive schemes but he looks like an offensive coach on the rise?

I love it. And don't forget he also knows Cleo Lemon.

agree

[I agree!!!!!!! we need an offensive minded coach and retain capers as DC. Let saban go! He's too much D. Cam can give us some offense. He has the mind and we do have players he can work with. I am sick seeing us kicking field goals. :fire:

im all for cam cameron if saban is gone, i see why not. its about time we get an offensive minded HC if saban leaving to alabama is the case, ronnie would be utilized at his best and to reunite him with Hud could do wonders for our offense. and if we can manage to keep Dom Capers as well i would say that we could possibly be set at the coaching positions, however there are still a lot of circumstances that need to play out before we find out if we are going to be in need for a new HC

I recall he was a good assistant at Michigan before taking the Head Coaching job at Indiana...didn't do well there. I think he's better off as an Off. Coordinator rather than a head coach

boo hoo hoo:boohoo:

Dont' cry for me, Argentina. I've made quite a good living on the message boards bemoaning coaches. It'll just be more of the same. Besides..it won't be Cameron.

Mueller will hire Haslett. And thats a good thing.
