Cam Cameron Bio

First off let me say, I'm a Cameron supporter.

In my opinion, People tend to judge Cameron because of his college record....Sure he failed in college, but even Saban himself said College and the NFL are like 2 distinctive sports. Meaning they are like 2 totally different sports. People think college coaches are like most college players.....if they did good in college, chances are they will do good in the NFL, but I don't think that's the case.

Jimmy Johnson was one of the few coaches that was successful in both college and the NFL.

As you may already know Saban was good in college and blew in the NFL.

So I'm all for giving Cameron a shot.

Despite what some people are saying about his calls this past Sunday, the guy really has done a good job in San Diego. Granted they have the best running back in the league, but they have average at best receivers. He has been able to do a lot with little in my opinion. Marty has a hands off approach when it comes to play-calling. The plays that were called to have them win 14 games is good by me. The other thing that is impressive is that he was able to win with different QBs. The only thing none of us know is if he can bring a spark with him. He definitely doesn't have the look of a guy who could chew out some the under achievers on this team. Whisenhunt was that guy. Not to say he was a better OC, but he is a really fiery guy. It just seems that we need that to motivate these guys and none of the available coaches seem to have that quality except for maybe Mora. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I like the fact that he has experience coaching quarterbacks and recievers. That should come in handy.:dolphins:

I totally agree....I also like Cam.......We need to give a chance.

You know what comes to my mind when people want to bash a guy who had a horrible college record as a head coach. They somehow tend to forget that that is irrelevant because think of the coaches that had success on the college level that didn't do jack in the NFL, like our last coach. So you can't judge a coach at all on their college record be it good or bad.

i think he is the best man for the job..i don't want mora, gailey or mike shula and i'd rather have capers just concentrate on the defense..we need an offensive mind..

Essentially the last three QBs he's worked with in the NFL have all become Pro Bowlers under his guidance. Obviously, Brees and Rivers are talented guys. However, Gus Frerotte, yes, Gus Frerotte, made the Pro Bowl with Cameron as his postion coach with the Redskins.

I'm most optomistic about Cameron. Gailey and Mora are just blah. With Dom Capers running the defense Cam gives us the best chance to win now, not later.

We need an offensive minded coach, Cameron is arguably the most brilliant offensive mind in the league! Bring on Cam Cameron!

''He's an outstanding football mind, probably one of the more innovative football minds in the game today,'' Wiedmeier said. ``We've got a great deal of respect for him
