Cam Cameron Terrible head coach but a very nice person..

We already knew that he was a kind person when he and the rest of the FO drafted Ted Ginn with the 9th overall pick, I mean no other sane person would've done that. He made Ginn's dreams come true.

As for the story at hand, very true. Cameron never seemed like a dick unlike some people *cough* Saban, who came and coached here. Cameron's always got my respect.

"We need the thumb to go the other way.." The whole Ginn thing is the only way I remember that guy.

Cam is a great guy no doubt. It's unfortunate what happened in Miami when he was here. To be honest, I'm not sure if it mattered who was in Miami in the 07 season. That team was so bad, I don't know if Belichick could've mustered more than 2 or 3 wins.

Agree. Cam's not a dick. Saban, OTOH is a dick. Now....If he was OUR dick, we'd be ok with it.

This is where I just laugh. Joey Porter is a ******* ********ing ***** if he says what he says if he's on the Jets. On the Dolphins? He's just speaking the truth man!

Saban is legend. Cameron? A footnote and a trivia question. Maybe there is something to this "Dick" stuff in a particular space.

One thing about Cameron is he realized he is not HC material. However, he is a top 5 OC in the NFL the guy can call a offense and you can't take that away from him. When he was here he made Ronnie Brown into a 2000 yrd HB if he does not get hurt.

I wish we somehow kept Cameron and never hired that old dufus named Henning. But I understand that you can't just keep the old coach.

The landscape of coaching has changed....especially a the collegiate level......long gone are the days of the Eddie Robinsons, Bear Bryants, Joe Paternos, etc....who got into coaching in the first place not because of the money....but because it was calling....a chance to not only make young men better football players...but to to help them be men...

I read a very good article by Jay Paterno on just how much it's changed....

Papa Joe shook hands with an administrator to be Penn St.'s head coach for $20,000 a year almost 50 years ago....no lawyers...no contracts...no agents....just a simple handshake.....and he's still there...

We'll never see guys give their hearts, souls, and even own money to these Universities like these guys did..... and be as loyal not only to the programs...but the kids that they walked into homes and "adopted"...

Head coaches now might as well come with a trench coat and a patch over one eye...because they're mercenaries now...hired guns....and the kids are always the one's that are left holding the bucket when they take off for more money....

There is definitely something to this "Dick" stuff......if you're not hated nowdays....then you're not doing your job....you're not a winner....and that's just the way it is....

I don't hate Cam Cameron. He was a terrible HC for us but at least he wasn't supposed to be the second coming and then ended up running away to the confines of a lower level of competition like Nick Saban (who I'm sure has done his share of humanitarian things but still will forever be a **** because of his professional decisions). I think Cam is a fine offensive coordinator and its a shame he didn't work out here.

Looking at it, he wasn't the right guy for a team that was so devoid of talent. But he does fine things getting the best out of players who can hold their own against other NFL players.
