I read an article that made sense about edge pass rushers. How they are valued highly in this time of 5k yard passers. I really like Wake, and want him on the team more than trading him, but will JI see it that way? Cam is still learning and going to be a force for some time. If youre JI, what could you get for him? Possible partial and a pick for number 2?

I think he has some value in a trade up but probably not enough to justify trading him. I think straight up he could get a second roun pick and his value to us may be alot higher.
 
I like the thought of having him locked up on the side, leaving us one position we don't have to replace. I hope JI sees his worth to us, not to other teams. But a second is always something to consider.
 
Trading Cam Wake would be a disaster. Nothing like sending Koa Misi and Philip Merling to rush the passer next season.
 
Don't think it helps anybody, but the other teams in our division and whoever we trade him to.

What we REALLY need is another DEMON much like him. If there are 2 edge rushers like Cam-Wake, teams can't double team both...and that's when all hell breaks lose..and teeth....and that would be very enjoyable especially if it were Tammy Brady's!
 
If I could get a 2nd for Wake I'd do it in a heartbeat. If he was 25 instead of 29-30 I'd keep him. But hes not.
 
What is Cam worth? At this point he is worth keeping unless some idiot GM is willing to give up a #1.

I had to wiki all of our 2nd round picks over the years and I realize that this really made no sense in the end, even if Wake is going to close to 30 by the time the season ends. He still has another solid contract left in him and that is all we need. How are we going to replace him? Hell we need pass rush help with him . . . I can only imagine the pass rush w/o him.
 
Unless the QB we trade for is named Luck then then we shouldn't trade Cam and not even think about it, we are already looking for a way to beat the Patriots with a pass rush so why would we trade away our most productive player on our defense?
