Ginn effect
Sparano and Camarillo said Denver's attention to Ted Ginn Jr. played a part in Camarillo's 11 catches for 111 yards. The Broncos frequently played a safety deep to guard against deep balls to Ginn and gave Camarillo room to work underneath on the other side.

"They were giving me routes to run," Camarillo said. "I appreciate it."

Greg Camarillo can thank himself for being a more productive receiver week in and week out for this team currently. Ginn has one big game and now he has been elevated to Pro Bowl...get real.

Camarillo is feeling the Welker effect a bit. Wes Welker had a lot of catches in 07', but that was mainly becasue of teams focusing in on covering Randy Moss. Obviously Ginn is not Moss, but teams may be focusing on him a little more which opens up Camarillo.

Still though, like Welker, Camarillo is talented. He catches basically everything thrown his way and he fights for extra yards. After the season is over, we need to sign Camarillo to a long term deal. He has proven he is worth being a starter on the NFL level.

Nobody's hating on Camarillo.

Nobody's putting Ginn in the pro bowl.

It is what it is. Denver paid attention to Ted, opened up the underneath for Greg.

That's all this is about.

Nice and humble of him but he is outplaying Ginn almost every week.

Because ginn is opening it up for Camarillo. Imagine if we had a REAL # 1 WR with us opening it up for Ginn and Camarillo. We'd have a hell of an offense.

Dont blame Ginn for Denver elevating him to the Pro Bowl- its their own fault they doubled Ginn and sold out to stop the run.
:woot:

Un-freakin'-believable. If Camarillo himself can give props to Ginn, why can't you? Is you dislike for a player on the Miami Dolphins football team so great that you cannot give him props when he deserves it?

(On what would happen to the offense if defenses start to key on him) - "If they key on me, we've seen what Ted (Ginn) can do. It would be great if they key on me, Ted would go for 200 yards. If they key on Ted, hopefully I can get another 100 yards. They were rolling the safety over the top of Ted to take away the deep ball. It's what you have to do and it's a great combination of the contrast of Ted and my style. If you try to double team somebody, somebody else is open. If you double team the receivers, our tight ends are open. Somebody will get open and somebody will catch the ball."

Just a little quote from Paymah himself.

"Our game plan was to stop the run and then stop No. 19 [Ted Ginn Jr.]," Paymah told the Denver Post. "We weren't worried about 83 [Camarillo]. He's just an average Joe. Honestly, you could have had anybody out there, a high school guy."

So yes, thank GINN for Camarillo's career day. Not to take anything away fromCa,arillo, but it wouldn't have been as productive if he and Ginn had been given equal opportunies.

laverneous Coles would be that man for me. If London catches on in support, I would love the four including Bess.

No need to draft a rookie early unless someone were to fall to us in our lap.

Reunite Coles and Pennington.

Only if the Jets release him and his $6 million contract next year.

This post is just stupid. Nobody said anything about being a Pro Bowl receiver. You claim to be a Dolphins fan yet can help but trash Ginn every chance you get. The fact is clear Denver coached their secondary to keep tabs on Ginn which is a fact that helped Camarillo get open routes more often.

For you to sit here and whine and moan week in and week out about Ginn is just pathetic. Get over it. Ginn is getting better. Now most normal Dolphin fans would be happy about that but fans like you just cant seem to let the past go. We all agree Ginn wasnt worth a 9th overall pick. NEWS FLASH....he was picked 9th anyway and now he is on our team. Why do you and others like you continue to trash a member of our team who is doing what he can to help us win week in and week out.

Stupid comments like the one above simply shows your lack of commitment to being a true fan anyway. Grow up and get over it already.

As far as I'm concerned, Ted Ginn has had 3 good games in a row.

Against Baltimore, he was open on numerous occassions (this has been verified by numerous fans at the game) but Penny didn't take any chances downfield.

The very next week against Buffalo, the coaching staff obviously took into account what they saw on film the previous week and the fact that Terrence McGee was injured and coached Penny to force the ball to Ted in certain situations. The results was 7 rec. for 175 yds.

This week, whether Ginn deserved the respect or not, the Broncos decided to pay more attention to him than they did Camarillo. The result was a career day for Greg. Taking nothing away from Cam (who still had the make the plays), there's no denying that Ginn's presense on the field helped pave the way for his career day. The Broncos players have admitted as much.

Now, it can be argued all day whether the attention paid to Ginn was warranted. Regardless, one thing is for certain ... the Denver Broncos had reviewed every Dolphins game on film, which led to the gameplan they decided to employ. They obviously felt that Ginn was more of a threat to them than Camarillo.

Whether it is deserved or not, teams have a fear of Ted Ginn. While his TD and yardage production can certainly be scrutinized, you can't overlook the fact that the fear factor IS helping the Dolphins produce in other areas.

Special teams is yet another example. Even though Ginn has only 1 TD return under his belt, teams STILL try to kick away from him. Because of that and because of teams like Denver are double-teaming him as a WR .. you have to give Ginn some credit. He is bringing something to the table even if it isn't tangible production you can see simply by looking at the stats.

You guys are full of manure. Some of you come here and start threads about Ted Ginn being the reason why Camarillo had a succesful game against Denver. Then you speak about him having the "Welker effect" followed by another stupid arguement that it has been verified that Ted Ginn has been open in many games such as the Baltimore game.

Greg caught a lot of passes in between the defenders and managed to help us convert against a defensive passing game that was suspect. He has clearly been the better receiver in the team and the most skillful route runner hands down. Unlike Welker, Greg Camarillo does not play the slot so that just basically shuts down the "welker effect" theory.
