How in the hell does the organization give this guy 6 million for 3 years when Ernest Wilford gets more than that as a bonus. Who's Camarillo's agent, Master P?

I wont comment on Ernest Wilford's contract but speaking of Camarillo's contract. 6 million for 3 years is a pretty good contract for an unproven receiver. I would bet that if he starts tearing it up and turns out to be the next Steve Largent they will restructure it and make it bigger.

Who care about Ernest Wilford and comparing contracts between NFL players is hopeless and pointless.

I've said it a million times. We need to cut Wilford's arse now (or earlier), take the $6mil cap hit now, and be rid of the worthless player blackmailing one of our roster spots.

Honestly I think its fair, He is not a big play wide reciever, but he is a consistent, very reliable receiver. Though I do believe it should have been a little bit higher.

Obviously they overpaid for Wilford. I think Greg's new contract is fine for what he has done. $2MM a year is not to shabby.

Sports agents will love your way of thinking. Part of the reason players salaries keep going higher and higher, is because agents base what they want their client to get paid on a stupid mistake some team made paying an underachiever.

What I want to know is how in the hell do you say someone is being ripped off when their getting paid 2 million a year to play a game in economic times like this? I'd say the guy is pretty damn lucky.

I don't feel bad for anyone that is making millions and playing a GAME!

I understand where you're coming from. However it's a very rough game and your window of opportunity to make a good living doing it is very short.

So let me get this straight....you want to overpay for Camarillo, because we overpaid for Wilford?

Im sure Cam is very happy with what he got, and if he helps us get anywhere in the playoffs, he will be compensated after his contract. If not by us, by someone else.

Camarillo didn't get ripped off. He got a very fair contract, and I'll bet if you asked Greg he'd tell you he's happy with $2 million a year. As for Wilford, the FO just didn't expect Wilford to suck as bad as he has.

I think it's a fair contract, a helluva upgrade for a practice squad player, to unproven, to reliable receiver.

I'm sure the front office will rework the contract after two years if he continues to be this consistent and that'll be his big payday.
