Cameron not happy with Heap

Apparently good ole' Cam Cameron isn't happy with Todd Heap in Baltimore and is looking for another option. Being as though he's familiar with David Martin do you think we could swing a deal somehow since we have a good TE with Fasano, and Joey Haynos?

What is it you are hoping to receive? I don't think we could get enough back from Baltimore to justify any trade. There were many times this year we saw more than a single TE on the field - at times even three. I think the bulk of our passing threat was a result of our strength at TE. I see no reason to dwindle it.

Where exactly did I mention that we would trade Martin for Heap? Pure speculation on your part, I was merely seeing if anyone thought they have any players beneficial to our system.

I had to re read your post and I now see what you are getting at. Still I don't think Martin is going to have a whole lot of value. I don't think we could get much for him.

i cant believe you would want 2 get rid of martin. he didnt make alot of plays but when he did they COUNTED. like that catch againts the jets when he basically ripped the ball from the defender jumping over his head AND RAN FOR THAT TD. no way we should get rid of him

Why would you want to trade Martin? Are you not happy with his play last year? He sold out on every one of his catches...he was absolutely hung out to dry at least 6 times and caught them all....big catches...important catches. He is one of the players that made last year happen...I say keep him.

Martin turned the corner this season.. elevating for some of his catches, he looked resembled a sure-handed WR. We've paid our dues with his sporadic play in the past and now that he has a tailor-made QB, a truckload of well-deserved confidence, and has developed into a bonefide weapon, why would we unload an investment now that it's at last starting to pay dividends???

As good as Heap has been in the past, the only reason Balt would want to get rid of him is if they have serious concerns about his ability to stay healthy (which I think they do). So why would we want to bring in a often injured TE who would carry a fairly decent size contract for TE's and have him not play more than 50% of the time. Don't see it, unless Cam gets a say into player personnel (which I'm sure he doesn't). Maybe we then could get some decent players for some of his favorites that never really did much.

Injuries have really hurt Todd's career. It sucks when it happens to really good players like him. He just cannot seem to stay healthy...he is out of the offense so much, when he gets back in, he is not the same, no chemistry with the offense.

As far as Cam...Todd probably just said something like "Man you really should stand up to that women that keeps beating you up..."

Cams reply "No I just feel in the tub during my bubble bath..."
