I was reading somehwere that during the first mini-camps, Wake had trouble changing directions....
Do you guys believe him struggling or maybe because he had trouble changing directions is one of the reasons we signed Taylor.

Phins were monitoring Boldin and Taylor..After all - Boldin is still possible.

i think wake is like a project, and taylor is a "must now" player, because of the tough schedule we have...

i think..

Personally, I think that it has more to do with JT still being a quality player that they were able to sign for a very reasonable contract. It's still too early to tell about Wake....

I think it's probably a couple of reasons. You can now mix and match Jason Taylor, Joey Porter and Cameron Wake. Also this increases our depth at LB. And our young guys get to learn from JT and Joey Porter. I'm not sure how much JT has left but the deal makes lots of sense.

It has to do with the fact there's no other team in the league who could've had JT for this deal. At 1.1 mil, he would've drawn interrest from 32 teams.

I read somewhere that they would sign JT if Wake was not a for sure thing so I guess he didnt convince the FO....

I read that he took less money to be here in Miami that New England was willing to pay...No matter what happened with him last year that right there shows to ME atleast just how loyal he is to US the fans...

Well I would only hope they knew from day one Wake wasnt a sure thing, he's never played a down in the NFL. But then again, is JT a sure thing these days?

i think i read that too but i cant remember where .... he goes up a notch in my book. and after that whole dancing with the stars thing that puts him at notch one

well, Bill Parcells looked at all of JT's film for the last two years, and he said JT can still play at a high level in this league.

I wouldnt look too much into Wake struggling just yet...I mean it is a mini camp...I think he will be fine....now he will get to learn behind two GREAT pass rushers in Porter and Taylor and he will be Taylors heir....

i think that is a pretty good summation of how the FO is approaching this season. there is a good possibility that Wake could just be a project player. I mean he did get released by the Giants for a reason and didn't end up playing in the NFL until four seasons later. I'm not like 100% on Wake yet until training camp starts in July IMO.
