Here is and article I found on Miami Dolphins.com. In it Wake talks about playing football in Canada and how some people don't think his game will transfer to the NFL. He also talks about how he was motivated to train even harder after seeing some of his friends and teammates in the NFL who he knew he had more talent than.

I feel with our coaching staff Wake only has bigger success to come in his NFL career. IMO he will give us a HUGE upgrade to our pass rush this year. I can't wait to see this guy in training camp.

Updated: I also found an article from the CFL digest. This article talks about how CW has physically matured going from 235 lbs his senior year in college to 260 lbs now. The article also talks about his speed 4.55 40 time and explosion: 45 1/2" verticle and 10'10" broad jump.

If this guy can bring it, our D just got a huge boost. No draft picks used, nobody traded. Basically freeeeeeeee.

This is the offseason move I am most interested in seeing play out. Even with the draft still ahead I am more interested in Wake's future than the future of our soon to be draft picks. Perhaps because we didn't have to use a pick to get him.

Thanks for sharing.

basically, it's time to back up the talk. Lot of hype for this guy. Bring it.

As much as I want him to become the best next thing, and I want to buy his Jersey and rock it for 10 years and I want people to talk about him as FA steal like people do about Terrell Davis and Tom Brady as draft steals (don't get me started on Brady)

No matter what is said, its still the CFL, and you can not be comfortable with him until you see him play!

Someone on another thread was saying how the CFL linemen ALL were around 275 and that this is why Wake had such success in the CFL. Well i went to the CFL website and got the list of offensive tackles in the league. I found only three of them to be under 300lbs and those weights were 290/295/275. Here, take a look for yourself.......
(i am assuming this is who wake would be going against, but i understand maybe it was a tight end sometimes also)

I'm interested to see the other guys on the team's reactions to his work ethic in the weight room. Man, what I would do to spend just one day with the team!

..Not like that

Yea but that's true for rookies coming out of college as well. It's not like college is more competitive than CFL.

I read somewhere here that D-Linemen have to line up 2 yards back in the CFL. If that is the case, for him to get that many sacks, his initial burst of speed has to be incredible. I don't care how big/small or fast/slow O-linemen are in the CFL, the fact that they have a 2 to 3 yard advantage has to hamper D-linemen's ability to get pressure on the quarterback.

Cfl, AFL, who cares, this guy isnt an unprooven rook, and if Sparano and Co. have him here, its because he looks promising...30 something sacks in 2 years? Even if he gets half of that here, thats productive....Also, we have to look at it as an extra value pick, like we already drafted an OLB...and isnt an unproven instant-millionaire rook who already got what he wanted, Cameron Wake is on a mission, hunting Quarterbacks
