I loved what he did yesterday, BUT there is a ton of room for improvement:

1. His Conditioning didn't seem great. He seemed to get tired at the end, honestly I thought this was very noticable

2. Awareness - He seemed to leave a few plays on the field. It seemed like at least 2 or 3 times he continued engaging the right tackle even when the QB broke the pocket and went to wakes outside.

His physical skill is unmatched, but I can see why the coaching staff was trying to bring him around slow. Can't wait to see him next week.

the odds of a cfl defender ever getting 3 sacks and 2 tackles for a loss in the NFL must be astronomical. maybe goon or dlockz could calculate it!?

I noticed the conditioning thing too but in his defense he did play a lot in this game and he was going all out every play. Also they got him running down the field on ST's too so I'm sure that was a factor in him getting gassed. If Wake continues to get after the QB like that though I don't think we'll see him on ST's too much.

I'm not complaining one bit. I thought he manned-up nicely his for his first time out. Check back in four weeks or so, when we can assess his growth.

It looked like he got held on a couple of those qb rollouts too. Very impressed with his performance.

Loved how he played but lets not lose site of the fact that the Bills Oline is terrible.

You can look at Taylor and Porter and say the same thing. Everybody has plays where they don't look as good. Don't take anything from him. HE PLAYED LIKE A BEAST and could have had atleast 2 more sacks if he wasn't held.

Remember that we had a rotation of players there.

Charlie Anderson had quite a few reps against the same RT.. And he got stood up very easily. All their RT had to do was breathe on the others to swat them away like a fly.

Wake, however, totally dominated the same guy.

Let's not forget that Sparano said over the last few weeks that Wake has gotten the same reps as starters.. He knew he was very good. You don't give practice reps like that to backups or 3rd stringers.

Moreover, the two guys Sparano compared Cam Wake to in his press conferences, were Dwight Freeney and Demarcus Ware (one for Wake's fantastic speed rush, and the other comparison for his great low arc as it's very hard for an OT to get his hands on him-- does a great job of making his body very small at the right times while rushing the passer)..

He went out of his way to compare him to Freeney and Ware huh ?? That's no small shakes.

It'll be interesting to see how he can develop with regard to stopping the run. Porter and Taylor, as good as they are, are mainly sack-minded. because of the weakness at the ILB spots in our 3-4 (believe me, they are weak), you need to have good OLB run support, not just guys who only care about getting to the QB.

I just hope this shows he is good to be rotated in. He can spell JT and Porter. I think we have a Good Pass rush LB for a long time.

He was getting held a lot. The refs flagged it once but they seriously could have flagged it a dozen more times. It will be interesting to see how he does this week. If he plays that well consistantly, we have the real deal on our hands.

It was nice to see Wake finally get some playing time BUT before we start getting too crazy . . . he was going against a RT who was cut at the end of the preseason and resigned because of injuries. Chambers is only starting because Bell is hurt, which has forced Jonathan Scott (who was only playing RT because Brad Butler is hurt) to LT, opening up a hole at RT.

Just in case you were unaware.

Their still NFL players, and some on this board said a CFL player couldn't make it in the NFL. Personally I'd rather he be number one and either JT or JP rest him!
