I am pretty sure all the fines given to players are donated to tax deductible charities, so when you are fined you just get the money back when you do your taxes anyway.

I don't think fines count as tax deductions.

Honsestly, I've not watched either of the last two games, and I haven't missed it.
It's not the game I grew up playing.

I agree, it's not the same game. Some blood, spit, and missing teeth are missing. And I don't want to hear former NFL'ers shouting the game isn't as tough as it used to be. The lawsuits from some of them is what has changed the game.

Under federal tax law, on-field NFL fines are considered a business expense, and thus tax-deductible. Fines for off-field issues, such as arrests, are not tax-deductible.

They get some of the money back as write offs

I want to know why that blood spitting QB was never given a concussion test. You could see he was disoriented. The guys in the booth were even pointing it out. ...oh, wait, I forgot he was Superman!!

The league's getting terrible. I've never seen a worse NFL year as a whole then this year. Roger G has to go. It'll be two hand touch next year if he stays.
