Cameron Wake - Most held NFL player in 2011 (and 2010)

That doesn't even include all the holds that WEREN'T called... Nate Solder must have had 10 uncalled holding penalties on Wake in Week 1 last year.

Solder didn't held him, he tackle him all night. Of course the refs will protect the NFL little princess Tom Brady
 
We better resign this guy and I think it will get done. Wake is probably the best player Ireland has brought in and hes not letting him go.
 
there were so many plays last year where holding wasnt getting called against cam. PAY THE MAN!!!!

As figured, Cameron Wake not only has the most disruptions (QB hurries + knockdowns + sacks) but also drew the most amount of holding penalties BY FAR.

Pay the man. He's one of the leagues elite pass rushers and it's not even close.

I would definitely like to lock up Wake. He is a very important part of our defense.


That being said, I would like to point out though why these kind of websites can be very misleading. Its not a complete story unless yout publish how many snaps the players took imo. I dont see it on that website, but Wake took something like the 3rd most snaps for a pass rusher in 2011. I'm not trying to diminish what he did, but its definitely an important part of that stat.
 
Funny that people think Wake got held on every play by Solder. It's okay to admit when a player gets beat and Solder just got the best of Wake that night. Still doesnt take anything away from how good Wake is.
 
I just rewatched that game and Solder did have some great plays against Wake (pancake block and forward tackle).
I also counted at least 7 solid holds (not tiny tugs). I also saw 2 full on blocks in his back.
The referees only flagged Solder once and on the following play Solder held again but Wake still got to Brady.

Pay the man.
