Cameron Wake - Most held NFL player in 2011 (and 2010)

Funny that people think Wake got held on every play by Solder. It's okay to admit when a player gets beat and Solder just got the best of Wake that night. Still doesnt take anything away from how good Wake is.

Yes...but Solder was holding Wake literally all the time. He got called for it twice that game (one against Wake, one against JT), Solder was called for SIX holding penalties the next TWO games. You're telling me he wasn't holding?

Yeah, I think Wake will get paid ... but my GRIPE is, the Dolphin's can't seem to do a durn thing without getting Another Publicized Black-Eye.

Why does one of the few talented guys we have on the entire team ... have to Hold Out & Miss Training Camp.

Pathetic, look at the message it sends!! ... on top of all our other woes!! Not to speak of a new DC, a NEW D Strategy, & possible 4-3. C-freakin-ripes!!

Solder was basically sitting on him for half of the game.

Solder did ok on some plays, but he held on almost every play. Finally the refs said something to solder, he held on the next play and got flagged, didn't hold on the next play, and Wake got a sack. It was ridiculous.

You are nuts. Solder held Wake on 85% of the plays in that game. I guarantee the refs did not call it because it was Brady and the Patriots.

That doesn't even include all the holds that WEREN'T called... Nate Solder must have had 10 uncalled holding penalties on Wake in Week 1 last year.
I could not believe all the holding calls solder was getting away with. it made the game almost unbearable to watch. And even worse, the Monday night commentators (who I normally like), were talking non-stop about how well solder was doing against wake.

That's your opinion. Just so happens that the refs agreed with me. It is what it is.

Refs are human. They can't call absolutely everything that goes wrong, and you know it. Your comment is so condescending smug while being a logical fallacy, so kudos to you on basing your over entitled opinion on what is essentially a judgment call. Why do you think calls happen once a player lets the ref know that it's happening? They don't have refs watching every single player. Once a player gets called for holding once, you can be damn sure the Refs will be watching him closer, which is what happened with Solder. Hell, I remember they had a highlight showing off how well Solder was doing against Miami and in the middle of it, Jon Gruden said "Well, that's actually a hold where I come from" and started laughing about it being included in their little highlight reel. But hey, the REF didn't call it so you're right!

A backwards pass is a fumble as far as I know, but hey Hochuli the referee said it wasn't so I guess it isn't!

Good lord people, overreact much? He is under contract so no one else can sign him. So stop acting like losing him is eminent. Training camp is a long ways off. So stop acting like he has already missed it. Protracted holdouts are very rare these days. We will get through the draft. Sign our picks and then work on extensions for both Wake & Long. Relax!
