The best thing about hiring Cameron would be his track record with QBs. Brees was playing really well in SD before leaving for New Orleans and Phillip Rivers made it to the Pro Bowl in his first full year of starting. He also got pretty good production with his college QB, Antwan Randle El.

This skill is important because our future success is dependent on stabalizing the QB position. In the short term, getting Culpepper back to form both physically and mentally is a necessity and no matter what, a new QB will need to be brought in within the next few years. The development of our next QB is the make or break of this franchise for the next decade.

I agree. We need to get someone in here who can turn our QB's into weapons for a change. They've all been duds under Wanny / Saban...

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I certainly hope so. I hope we do something I've been wanting us to do for years and that's DRAFT A QB BEFORE THE LATER ROUNDS AND DEVELOP HIM!

You are absolutely correct. This is a QB league for the most part and Culpepper needs get back to a high level as opposed to a "Drew Bledsoe level"

Cameron was a big backer of Cleo, and hopefully he can develop him into a decent backup so we can ditch JH.

How much does Cam Cameron have to do with the QB development? Should more credit be given to the QB coach? QB coach prior to last year was Brian Schottenheimer, so maybe he's the one you all should be oggling for QB development.

Good point. Brian Schottenheimer was my first choice all the way, but he doesn't want to deal with this mess apparently.

Brees credited Cameron the other night on TV, It was some special on the Saints either on NFL Network or Inside the NFL I forget which.

If Brees is crediting Cameron thats good. I'm sure he was involved somehow, I'm not a coach or anything so it was really more of a question than a statement.

I'd like to see Brown get more involved next year (well, Brown and Williams). They are the strength of the team, NOT the WRs. If Cameron achieves that goal (getting the ball into the hands of the best players) then we are getting somewhere. Urban Meyer did that a lot this year and things worked out. Even if it meant lining WR Percy Harvin up in the backfield as a RB.

I'm not sure if he'll improve Culpepper or not, but hopefully he'll be able to spot a real QB talent when he sees one (Draft, FA, ect...)

I completely forgot about Gates as well. Gates is a tremendous talent but Cameron surely knows how to utilize the TE in the passing game. With all the flak Mcmike takes for dropped balls and all, there is no denying that he is loaded with talent.

I can imagine Chris Chambers being a huge red zone target for Cameron too, his vertical is amazing, look at Vincent Jackson (I believe that's his name) for San Diego...
