I'm just happy we have a coach who is young and hungry to prove that he belongs. Saban never seemed happy to be the coach in Miami. Seemed as if his attitude was that he had won a championship in college so why the heck not go and do it in the NFL.
People keep bringing up Camerons Indiana record. I understand his record wasnt good there, but tell me a coach who has done well there. It isn't as if he took over Miami, or USC and ran the school into the ground. Indiana is a bball school (always has been, always will be) that plays in the big ten. Perenial powers such as Ohio State, Michigan ,Penn State are in that conference. Plus if we are going to try and make that comparison to determine his fate here, we wouldn't even have been looking for a head coach. Saban was coming off of a national championship, so there's no doubt he would have atleast brought us to onw by now. But no, he had a losing record in his two years. And don't think that his failing thus far didn't way into his decision to go back to college. He may very well have liked the college game better, but he wouldn't have left if he wasnt doing such a terrible job here.
Basically what i'm trying to say is give the guy a chance. No, he wasn't the big name that we are used to getting here, but have any of them done anything recently? Cameron is a good offensive minded coach and thats what this team desperatly needs.
