Of course FA isn't over and the draft is coming up but what do you see as some of the best training camp battles? I think there will be good competition at CB, S, OLB, and along the OL. Who do you see winning these and other battles?

Discuss.....

Off the top of my head...

CB, both safety spots, OT (although I do think it will end up being Shelton and Carey, unless they decide to go with Shelton-James-Hadnot-Carey-McIntosh), #3 WR (Welker-Campbell-Draft Pick?), OLB (Without an Arrington signing- Hodge-Spragan-Draft Pick?), DT (Not really fighting for the start, with Traylor and Holliday pretty much penciled in- but for a roster spot... Wright-Vickerson-Zgonina-Howard Green-Draft Pick?)

Lots of competition.

yea there should be alot of battles goin on also #2 qb which would also be maybe starting qb for the first couple games if daunte isnt ready

the most intense battles will be in the secondary undoubtedly, I am making a bold prediction but Will Poole will beat out Will Allen at corner with Daniels getting the other spot, I also think this is the year Yeremiah Bell wins a starting job

i hope bell gets it hes kick butt

I think it will be Allen and Poole on the outside with Daniels in the nickle spot. The safeties will be Watkins (out of Fl St) and Bell

Definately. I'm interested to see who ends up being the #3 WR. Wes played well last year and Campbell has experience with Culpepper. A draft pick would give us really good depth.

I've not watched Will Allen so I don't know how good he can be, but there seems to be a lot of faith in Daniels.
He had a solid rookie campaign, but truthfully he wasn't a dominant player. I wouldn't automatically pencil him in as a starter.
We have the luxury of having 3 solid CB's competing for the top 2 spots, with Poole having the potential of being a special player (according to various coach and player comments).

Some of these battles are hard to predict because we don't know who we will pick at 16 or if we will indeed sign Lavar Arrington.
OT I think will be Shelton/Carey.
OLB if we don't sign Lavar or pick Lawson at 16 I think Spragan/hodge split time there.
CB If we don't draft someone at 16 I think Allen/Daniels will start
S I really think this is our biggest need. Bell/?

That being said, the Top 3 players that I hope fall to Miami at 16 are Lawson, Cromartie and Allen.

I drool when I think about Watkins in a Fins uniform.... 6'4 210 lbs and runs a 4.45 40  HE will need to add some bulk, but could be a starter by mid season.

Any two of the four safeties now on the roster could end up starting and four of the CB's, Allen, Poole, Daniels, and Goodman each could go anywhere from starting to nickle to the bench.

Spragen/Hodge will be a battle for OLB.

I think McKinney and Smith will battle for the C spot and where will Carey land will also keep the Oline battles exciting.

After Chambers and Booker at WR and following McMichael at TE what will the depth chart look like for receivers?

Another battle will be between Brown and Williams for the most touches if Ricky comes back.

Can Beasley rest the FB spot away from Barnes?

Can Traylor and Holliday hold off the twin enemies of father-time and Wright-Vickerson?

We've got more questions than larry king but for a change they are good questions. No more, "Can anyone play this game?" to who is the best of a series of good options.

What a turn around!

I would think that Spragan would be a lock for the OLB job. He played well IMO. I am curious about the grades the phin fans give him

spragan will def get a solid shot this year and will probably start the season but with the draft and hodge who knows who will end it but he'll get his shot which he deserves

I'd consider that done. Beasley is a pro bowler. He also adds the threat of recieving to the equation.

My early favorite is Channing Crowder, I've heard he can freestyle and his rhymes are typically creative, but never rule out veterans, I hear Jason Taylor has mad verbal skillz.
