Camp updates August 10th

u know, gotta say it. people are not so up for our RB's but Bush is first one out and last to leave lately. dude is hungry. he likey this offense. u know, the dude didnt take long to sign with us and said we only were missing few pieces. I think he was given a serious talking to about how he would be in this offense.

me thinky he likey very much

IMO he is motivated by the fact that for the first time in his career, he is being given the opportunity to be the #1, or 1a. Whether his body can withstand that many touches is the question. I hope so.

That is a very good question. Was Bush injury prone in College, does anyone remember if he had any injuries in College as a starter? I really don't remember any big injuries, and his injuries in NO might have more to do with pounding he took in returns, while not being used exclusively enough in games as a back.

I believe if we keep him away from any type of returns, allow him to work as just a RB (At times swing him to the receiver position for an extra missmatch), and
he works out hard, injuries will not be as common as they were in N.O.

The one thing that Bush brings to the table is a Championship. He knows what it takes and has seen it first hand. Seems like he's trying to set the example for others to follow. I'm hoping his work ethic starts to rub off on the others.

Bush was not injury prone at USC. If you listen to Michael Irvin, he thinks playing on real grass will help him more because his game is based more off of quick cuts, and the turf in NO doesn't allow him to cut as quickly as he wants. I don't know how exactly to explain it, but in Irvin's interview with Omar he explained it.

But hard work was never an issue with Bush like it was some of his other USC teammates (LenDale White, Leinart, Dwyane Jarrett), nor was he ever a locker room cancer (he was actually a huge reason for the team's turnaround and helping rebuild the city). He knew his days in NoLa were numbered though because of the contract given to Pierre Thomas not too long ago, Chris Ivory emerging last year, and the drafting of Mark Ingram.

i dont know if its just because all eyes and attention are on henne, and he is getting most snaps, but folks are not saying a thing about MATT MOORE who has been having an exellent camp so far.

more great throws and a td this morning to gates in the back of the endzone over VONTAE!! he seems to have a great knack for the fade [marinos bread and butter play] and being able to hit the guy in the back of the end zone.

a lot of qb's are not good at it because it takes pin point accuracy and timing. henne is AWFUL at it. i know there is a lot of venom towards moore but who cares what name is on the jersey! it appears [so far] that the 2009 moore is in camp and the 2010 version was an injury [he and team mates] filled one off bump in the road.

and if its so, isnt this GREAT NEWS for us fin fans? moore is making plays and henne has REAL competition. if henne stays consistant the job will remain his. but it appears we have a qb in the wings who actually makes plays for a change! there are a lot of td's being thrown in this camp, redzone and the dreaded 2 minute drill that has been a thorn in miamis side for several years now. both qb's are throwing td's in critical times and thats big. maybe, like moore, dabols 2010 was a one off and we have an offensive plan that actually features and uses the talent on the team!

we'll see.........

I liked Bush coming out of USC, and was very surprised when the Texans did not take him (Even though it was a good pick for them to go defense). Size or not, there are very very few players that have ever been as explosive as Reggie...when he came out, I was expecting him to be the next Barry Sanders.

That play last week in camp when Bush was caught in the backfield by I believe Misi and a few other defensive players, yet he still managed to end up from a
probably 5-10 yard loss, to a3 yard gain. He is a weapon.

Pat Devlin & Reggie Bush = Joe Montana & Roger Craig

Super Bowl here we come!

Andrew Carter, who was the guy tweeting the practice today, said Moore looked average. I haven't seen anyone say Moore has looked excellent or that he's out performing Henne. Armando from the Herald said Moore looked good his first day of practice and really hasn't said much about him since.

I think Matt Moore in 2009 was a worse version of dwrrick Anderson that year when he killed it for the browns. He just threw it up and his guys made great plays but most of the throws I saw were under thrown I'd had too much air under them. He made good decisions in the short/intermediate passing game though

M oore overall has been a pretty bad qb, not sure why people expext somehow he will turn it on just because we signed him.

i think we can hide devlin on the p squad...he went undrafted cause no one liked him enough to use a pick on him...put him on the p squad...unless he lights it up in the preseason which i doubt will happen

I believe I read he had 3 or 4 offers but chose us specifically for the upside. I doubt he'd last on PS
