I like him too, but ESPN and others are fawning all over this guy like he's the second coming...

They may be looking pretty foolish if we get hammered tonight....not that Campbell won't be a good coach, but let him at least beat a mediocre team before saying he's accomplished anything.

Totally. That's why you gotta take these people's opinions with a grain of salt. I remember when they deemed the Eagles a SB winner b4 the preseason started when they signed all those FA's and one those players called themselves the dream team.

Phin fans are curious creatures. We complain about ESPN or the media not giving us enough credit but when they finally do it's too much for us

It's the first time in forever that I agree with the Sportsie Media Types.
Coach Campbell is the real deal...and if you don't see it yet...don't worry...you will! :)

it doesn't really what we or they think.
All I care about is how the players are responding to him.
I can't ask for anything else.

So tired of the 'they beat two bad teams' excuse. Honestly, instead of looking forward at the remainder of the season, let's take a look back and play 'what if?'

It can pretty much be guaranteed that Campbell would have won the Jags game. The Jets game, we almost had a 4th quarter comeback even with the ****show that we had on the field, he would have beat the Jets. Only question is the Bills game.

If Campbell had led the team from the start, we would be 5-1 or 6-0 right now. Would anybody be questioning anything at that point?

I don't think it's going to far to hype what this team as done. Hell, how many GOOD teams do that even against horrible teams? I remember the Pats beating the Redskins (I believe) in 2007 and just dominating them. People were complaining that Bill left his starters in for the whole game. I think the final score was like 52-7 or something. And we are talking about the 2007 Pats there! Beating a bad team is one thing. Absolutely dominating them is another. We didn't just 'beat two horrible teams.' We dominated.

So no, I don't think anything is out of control. And if everybody is wrong, oh well. ENJOY IT while it lasts. How many times in the last 15 years have we been able to feel like this during a season? I'm loving the hype!

Geez...quite complaining and enjoy the ride. About time we had something positive said about our team. Yes! He may crash and burn tonight...but what a ride!

he is the second coming, i will not tolerate blasphemy on this site. say ten 'Hail Marino's' and be forgiven of your sin here today.

They are giving him (deserved) props because he invigorated a completely flat lined football team and got them back on track. Not exactly child's play. Good to hear us getting some positive attention for once. Also the NFL hypes the Thursday night games heavy so that's playing a big part

Campbell will not let us get beat up I think. He will put on some pads and go out there bring us back by himself if necessary!!!!!! Boom!

100%

I wish they would have waited until after tonights game to drool all over him. That's the media for you.

Go root for the Jets if you don't like what they are saying about Campbell. This gets my vote for worst post of the week. :rolleyes2:

You're on the wrong side of history, guy. This is the Era of the Campbell. Strap yourself the **** in.

What's wrong with you? I didn't say I dont support him or don't think he's going to succeed...just that the press is overdoing it at this early juncture. Does that make me a traitor?
