Is Dan Campbell what we thought he was ?

Down to business take no prisoner HC.

Obviously lacking in experience and none of us knowing really what was there but I think we all thought he was at least going to be bringing an intensity, wearing his emotions on his collar, not hesitating to call out whoever or whatever needed calling out ( and there is no shortage of material there in that respect.

What did we get, "I have faith in these guys", "had faith in what we are doin" , " efforts there, its technic"

Listen to his press conference and if it was just the transcript you'd think it was Philbin. Excuses, familiar rhetoric and a totally confused looking HC standing at the podium turning into a cream puff right before our eyes...was hoping to at least see some fire out of our HC for a change ....maybe next life....

I think he has been honest. He is targeting what is wrong. Not sure what people want from him outside of much better results.

Not sure even can bring myself to listen...another gem from yesterday...

Another embarrassing Dolphins number: Stats Inc. reports this was first time in NFL history team allowed 2 100-yd rushers &150-yd WR same gm@flasportsbuzz

A complete failure by the FO to build a competitive team yet again.

Seasons over results pretty much insignificant at this point. For me I would still like to see intensity, maybe even anger an embarrassment ....lay out some accountability, but just turning into Philbin II is pathetic........and extremely even more disappointing

What do u want him to say? That nobody can win with a roster full of turds?

Seems like we're always setting records like that.

I like Dan Campbell and his potential as a coach. But it's like rooting for a surgeon who skipped residency. He is a work in progress. It would be short sighted to dismiss his potential based on some hiccups. He has been dealt a tough hand.

I like Rizzi's passion and drive. But we know that Rizzi was made associate head coach and put in charge of time outs. Campbell was coaching tight ends and hasn't been trained yet in handling time outs. Where the hell was Rizzi when Miller didn't get out of bounds and we could have saved precious time with a time out? Good grief, Rizzi - do your job! Beyond that, the Specials have been very fundamentally unsound. I'm not saying Rizzi needs to be fired but he should be accountable.

I hate to say this, but losing would be ok if the effort was there. Look at Oakland and the strides they're making. they are in games

Campbell changes the narrative with a win this week. That is his answer. Nothing he does at presser is going to change last week. It is what is done in meetings, practice and the adjustments the team makes.

BTW, the team could step up some for him. If they appreciate him so much, how about playing out of your sneaker some?

If Tannehill used his brain he'd know that's the perfect time for a timeout, and call one, but he just went along with everything. You've got an interim HC who publicly has stated he's not an X's and O's guy, only ~10 secs left on the clock after going 90 yards, 1 timeout left, 1 yard line, and you as the QB let the clock run? I would hope my QB is smarter than that...

What do you want a coach to do with an division 2 equivalent oline and back 7 sans Jones defense?

Last I heard Tannehill wasnt allowed to even audible under philbin let alone call a timeout. No clue if that changed based on circumstance.

Denny Green aside, aren't most press conferences the same bull**** anyway? Besides, what can the guy do at this point? Find out where Bernie is from "Weekend at Bernie's" and get him to sprinkle some voodoo on Cam Wake to make him be able to play again?

Being a motivator is one thing, trying to motivate a team that stinks is as successful as asking your wife for sex.

Thats very true ...so why have a presser. Maybe by making specific individuals accountable to all might put a needed fire under a guy needing it. Accountability !........Hey may not work but I haven't seen anything else they are doing that works either. and it sure would be refreshing to see something outside of the feeble excuse ridden crap we've heard now for years over and over which doesn't seem to have an effect. Thought Campbell was going to be different so far looks like the same ole same ole BS...

most likely Mr Campbell has come to terms with the enormity of the situation, and his limitations within... will he be a good NFL HC someday? quite possibly. is he there now, cuz we need a 'right now' winner... no.

prepare for the most significant reboot in 20yrs of Dolphins football; it won't be pretty, it won't be easy to live with; it'll probably (definitely) hurt our feelings... but done correctly, will get us to the promised land.

I knew somebody would blame tannehill for the coaching staff not calling a time out. The hatred for every QB this team has have since Marino has no boundary. Why not blame him for our defense allowing 2 RBs with over 100 yards each plus a WR getting 150?
