Campbell to be Released to Chase Ring After our Next Loss?

Might as well release him if and when we become mathematically eliminated which would be after another loss.

He would still have to clear waivers so he still might not end up being with one of the top contenders.

I doubt a non playoff team would claim him but a playoff team who is high in the waiver order would probably claim him. Thats still better than staying here.

I was hoping we could bring him back for one more season to teach our ( hopefully first round. Drafted DT )
But feels like he might want to go chase a ring. If that's the case we should do him a solid and release him. Let see what we have with Neil Farrell or whomever they want to have starting next to Sieler.
These last 3 games should be used to evaluate players. Although I'm sure McD and Grier will do all they can to win each game to save their necks.

Maybe he will come back next year. Releasing him before the end of the season doesn't preclude that.

The Dolphins run a Make a Wish foundation, not a football franchise. “I wish I could not practice all summer, but still get paid millions to not perform during the season.”- wish granted. “I wish I could hold on to my job as GM forever despite drafting terribly and handing out bad contracts .” - wish granted. “I wish I could sign to play for the Dolphins and then get cut after another disastrous collapse and go to a good team before the playoffs.” - wish granted. “I wish I could get a head coaching job with no experience leading men or calling plays and NFL water boy is the most impressive thing on my resume.” - wish granted.
